ICMR-National Institute of Cholera & Enteric Diseases (NICED Kolkata) is recruiting eligible candidates for 08 posts of Junior Research Fellow, Data Entry Operator (Grade B), Senior Lab Assistant, Lab Attendant, Lab Assistant and Health Assistant. The vacancies are under the project entitled “Community-based evaluation of G6PD deficiency in eastern India and its relevance to infectious and metabolic diseases” under Dr. Santasabuj Das, Scientist ‘F’ of ICMR-National Institute of Cholera & Enteric Diseases (NICED Kolkata). The candidates will be appointed on Temporary basis for a period of Six (06) Months. ICMR-NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF CHOLERA & ENTERIC DISEASES (NICED KOLKATA) WILL CONDUCT WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR 08 POSTS OF JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW, DATA ENTRY OPERATOR (GRADE B), SENIOR LAB ASSISTANT, LAB ATTENDANT, LAB ASSISTANT AND HEALTH ASSISTANT. WALK-IN DATE — 27/08/2019
1. JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: First Class M.Sc./ M Tech in Life Sciences from recognized University/ Institute with NET qualification.
Desirable: Documented proof of one year of research experience from the laboratory of a reputed Institute/ University.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on 27.08.2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 35,000/- per month.
2. DATA ENTRY OPERATOR (GRADE B)
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Intermediate or 12th pass in Science stream from recognized Board with DOEACC ‘A’ level from a recognized Institute and/or 02 years’ experience in EDP work in Government, Autonomous PSU or any other recognized organization.
Desirable: Experience in using SPSS, N-vivo and Epi-Data software.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on 27.08.2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 24,000/- per month.
3. SENIOR LAB ASSISTANT
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: 12th pass in Science subjects and two years diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician or one year DMLT plus one year required experience in a recognized organization or two years field/ laboratory experience or animal house keeping in Government recognized organization.
Note: B.Sc. degree shall be treated as 03 years experience.
Desirable: i) Experience in blood drawing and separation of cells and plasma.
ii) Experience in Field Blood Collection.
iii) Knowledge of Basic Lab. Work.
iv) Basic knowledge of Computer Application.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years as on 27.08.2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 24,000/- per month.
4. LAB ATTENDANT
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: High School or equivalent.
Desirable: i) Past Experience of working in a research laboratory.
ii) Past experience of working with laboratory animals.
iii) Basic knowledge of computer application.
Age Limit: Maximum 25 years as on 27.08.2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 16,000/- per month.
5. LAB ASSISTANT
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: High School or equivalent with 05 years experience in related field from a recognized Institute or certificate of one year training in the relevant area.
Note: Intermediate with science subjects and B.Sc. will be treated as equivalent to 02 and 03 years experience respectively.
Desirable: i) Graduate with Experience in blood drawing and separation of cells and plasma.
ii) Experience in Field Blood Collection.
iii) Knowledge of Basic Lab work.
iv) Basic knowledge of Computer application.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on 27.08.2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 710/- per day. per month.
6. HEALTH ASSISTANT
No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos.
Educational Qualification: High School or equivalent with 05 years experience in related field from a recognized Institute or certificate of one year training in the relevant area.
Note: Intermediate with science subjects and B.Sc. will be treated as equivalent to 02 and 03 years experience respectively.
Desirable: i) M.Sc. in Psychology.
ii) Graduate in Social Science.
iii) Proficiency in Qualitative Research and use of N-Vivo software.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on 27.08.2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 710/- per day. per month.
