Educational Qualification:
Candidates have a valid Registration Certificate under the “Dentist Act- 1948”; provided that a candidate outside the State of Odisha has not registered his name under the Odisha Dental Council as per the provision of section 34 of the Dentist Act, 1948. He shall get himself registered, prior to the issuance of an appointment order.
Candidates should possess a BDS or equivalent Degree from a Medical College or Medical Institution recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI).
Candidates should hold the necessary conversion certificates, which the Dental Council of India (DCI) has recognized in the case of candidates with degrees from overseas universities.
Age Limit:
The minimum age limit is 21 years.
The maximum age limit is 38 years.

Pay Scale:
The pay level of the Dental Surgeon is Level-12 according to the Odisha govt. Pay Scale.

Selection Process:
The criteria outlined in the Odisha Medical Services (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Services of Dental Surgeons) Rules, 2022 would be used to choose applicants for the position of the dental surgeon.
