Department of Health and Family Welfare, Directorate of Ayurveda, is recruiting 106 persons for the post of – Medical Officer, Multipurpose Workers (ANM), Ayurvedic Pharmacists, Physiotherapist and Nurse (GNM) for Ayurvedic Speciality Clinics and for Ayurvedic Wing at different S.D. Hospital and District hospitals of the State. The recruitment will be on temporary basis of One year. Application form is to be prepared on plain paper as per format. Educational and other criteria is given below—

FOR AYURVEDIC SPECIALITY CLINICS established at the different S.D. Hospital of the State.
1. Ayurvedic Medical Officer: 36 Nos. (Gen—19; SC—8; ST—2; OBC—7)
Qualification: 5 years or 4 ½ years of degree in Ayurveda from recognised University or equivalent.
Candidates must have knowledge of Bengali language.
N.B: Candidates must be registered either in Part-A of the State Registrar of Ayurvedic Medical Practitioner maintained by the Paschim Banga Ayurved Parishad or in Part-I of the Central Registrar maintained by the Central Council of Indian Medicine.
Age: Max 50 years as on 1/1/2012
Pay: Rs.90000—Rs.40500 and Grade pay of Rs.5400 + allowances

2. Multipurpose Workers (ANM): 18 Nos. (SC—4; ST—1; OBC—3; Gen—10)
Qualification: Madhyamik passed and have done ANM (R) course from recognised Institute. Candidates must be registered with West Bengal Nursing Council or any other State/ Central Nursing Council.
Speaking and reading ability of Bengali language is essential.
Age: above 21yrs as on 1/1/2012 subject to the condition that a candidate shall not be engaged in the post after attaining the age of 62 yrs.
Pay: Rs.5400—Rs.25250 and Grade pay—Rs.2600 plus allowances.

3. Ayurvedic Pharmacist: 18 Nos. (SC—4; ST—1; OBC—3; Gen—10)
Qualification: Madhyamik passed and must have pass certificate in Ayurvedic Pharmacy from recognised Institute or Ayurveda Tirtha of the Paschim Banga Ayurved Parishad.
Age: within 45yrs as on 1/1/2012
Pay: Rs.5400—Rs.20200 and Grade pay—Rs.2600 plus allowances.

FOR AYURVEDIC WING established at different District Hospital of West Bengal State.
1. Ayurvedic Medical Officer: 8 Nos. (SC—1; ST—1; OBC-A—1)
Qualification: 5 years or 4 ½ years of degree in Ayurveda from recognised University or equivalent.
Candidates must have knowledge of Bengali language.
N.B: Candidates must be registered either in Part-A of the State Registrar of Ayurvedic Medical Practitioner maintained by the Paschim Banga Ayurved Parishad or in Part-I of the Central Registrar maintained by the Central Council of Indian Medicine.
Age: Max 50 years as on 1/1/2012
Pay: Rs.90000—Rs.40500 and Grade pay of Rs.5400 + allowances

2. Physiotherapist: 8 Nos. (SC—2; OBC—2; Gen—4)
Qualification: Higher Secondary in Science subjects and Degree/ Diploma in Bachelor of Physiotherapist from recognised Institute and minimum 6 month of experience in handling allied related instruments.
Age: within 45yrs as on 1/1/2012
Pay: Rs.7100—37600 and Grade pay—Rs.3900 plus allowances.

3. Nurse (GNM): 16 Nos. (SC—4; ST—1; OBC—3; Gen—8)
Qualification: Higher Secondary pass and have done GNM course from recognised Institute or equivalent. The candidates must be registered in any State Nursing Council.
Age: above 21yrs as on 1/1/2012 subject to the condition that a candidate shall not be engaged in the post after attaining the age of 62 yrs.

Selection of Candidates: Selection will be on merit basis and decision of Recruitment Committee.

How to Apply: Application is to be made on the plain paper by neatly typing according to the prescribed format.
Self-Attested copies of certificates and testimonials in support of Age proof, Caste, Qualification, Experience and etc, as applicable should be properly enclosed with the Application form.
Original documents should be produced when called for counselling.
On the top of the application form containing envelope, superscribe — “Application for the post of Ayurvedic Wing or Speciality Clinic”.

Last Date of Application: Application form along with self-attested copies of documents should reach by Registered Post/ Speed Post within or on 20th June 2012 at the below given address.
