DGCA Recruitment 2024:- The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is seeking Indian nationals to work as Consultants (FOIs) in various categories on a contract basis. The initial contract period is one year, extendable up to the consultant’s age of 65 years or until further notice. They’re looking for Senior Flight Operations Inspectors (Aeroplane), Flight Operations Inspectors (Aeroplane), and Flight Operations Inspectors (Helicopter).
Applicants should meet specific eligibility criteria and submit their applications online by May 8, 2024. Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification and interviews in late May 2024. Successful candidates must join within seven days of receiving the offer. Non-joining candidates will be debarred from applying for DGCA contract positions for one year.

Eligibility Criteria for DGCA Recruitment 2024

Educational Qualification
Consultant {Senior Flight Operations Inspector (Aeroplane)}:- As per the official notification, candidates should have the Qualification of an examiner/instructor, on Civil Aircrafts used for Air Transport approved by DGCA or Qualified Flight Instructor Rating (QFI) in Category A from Defence Services. Graduation in Engineering or Master’s Degree in Science from a recognized University or institute.
Consultant {Flight Operations Inspector (Aeroplane)}:- As per the official notification, candidates should have the Qualification of an examiner/instructor, on Civil Aircrafts used for Air Transport approved by DGCA or Qualified Flight Instructor Rating (QFI) in Category A from Defence Services. And Graduation in Science with Physics and Mathematics as subjects from a recognized University or institute.
Consultant {Flight Operations Inspector (Helicopter)}:– Valid Instrument Rating (IR) and Pilot Proficiency Check (PPC) on the Civil Helicopter endorsed on Licence. Should have held the qualification of a TRE/TRI/Check pilot approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation on a civil helicopter or has been a qualified flight instructor (QFI) from Defense Services. Graduation in Engineering or Master’s Degree in Science from a recognized University or institute.
Age Limit:– The age limit for applying to the consultant positions is 58 years for Consultant (Dy. CFOI) and 64 years for Consultant (SFOI), Consultant (FOI), and Consultant (FOI – Helicopter) at the time of issuing the Vacancy Circular. There’s a relaxation of up to five years for FOIs who have at least one year of experience in the preceding five years in the DGCA.
