1. DIRECTOR, CULTURAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (UR)
Educational Qualification: i) A Doctorate Degree in Anthropology/ Sociology/ Economics/ Political Science from a recognized University.
ii) Ability for guiding research.
Experience: i) Ten year’s teaching or research experience and (ii) Administrative experience.
Desirable: i) Evidence of having published books, papers etc. on tribal life and Culture.
ii) Adequate knowledge about problems and planning concerning Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes population.
Age Limit: Maximum 45 years as on 01/01/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.28000 — Rs.52000
2. SUPERINTENDING ARCHITECT
No. of Vacancies: 05 Nos. (UR-02, SC-01, ST-01, OBC-01)
Educational Qualification: i) A Degree in Architecture from a recognized University or equivalent qualification.
ii) The candidate should be registered with the Council of Architecture.
Experience: Should have 13 years experience.
Age Limit: Maximum 45 years as on 01/01/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.28000 — Rs.52000
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category of West Bengal. Such benefits are also available up to the age of 45 years for PWD candidates.

Note: Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali is essential (not applicable for those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali).
Reserved Category candidates from the states other than West Bengal will be treated as General Category candidates.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Interview. In case of large number of candidates, the Commission may restrict the number of candidates to be called to Interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of either higher qualifications in the relevant subjects/ higher standard of marks/ grade obtained in the essential qualifications or experience in relevant field higher than the minimum prescribed or on the basis of a Preliminary Screening Test ( PST).
