DISTRICT JUDGE, COOCH-BEHAR INVITES APPLICATION FOR 11 POSTS OF ENGLISH STENOGRAPHER AND GROUP ‘D’ STAFF (PEON). LAST DATE — 20/07/2015
1. English Stenographer (Group ‘B’): 1 (SC)
Qualification: Madhyamik pass or equivalent and ability to take shorthand dictation at 80 words per minute and ability to type 30 words per minute in English on typewriter machine. Must possess computer training and satisfactory fingering speed in computer operation.
Age: 18yrs to 37yrs as on 01/01/2015
Pay Scale: Rs.7100—37600 and Grade Pay: Rs.3900/- plus other allowances as per norms.
2. Group ‘D’ (Peon): 10 posts (UR—6; OBC-A—1; SC—3)
Qualification: Class VIII pass and must have knowledge of reading and writing in Bengali and English.
Age: 18yrs to 40yrs as on 01/01/2015
Pay Scale: Rs.4900 – 16200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1700/- plus other allowances as per norms.
Upper age relaxation for SC/ST is 05 years, for OBC is 03 years. Upper age limit incase of PWD candidates is 45 years. For Ex-Servicemen, Meritorious sportsperson – as per norms.
The engagement to the posts will be initially made on temporary basis but is like to be made permanent. See officially released advertisement for more details.
Selection of the candidates will be through Competitive Written Examination and Personality test. Practical test (Dictation/Typewriting) will be taken for the post of English Stenographer.

Examination/Processing Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.300/- (Rs.200/- for SC/ST, PWD candidates) through any branch of United Bank of India by means of fee payment challan. Fee challan can be downloaded from the official website (See URL /PDF file below).
