Office of the District Judge, North 24 Parganas, Barasat, is recruiting 63 candidates in the posts of – English Stenographer and Lower Division Clerk. Interested candidates may apply on prescribed Application format within below scheduled date. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria is given below in brief. Employment Notification No. 01/2013 —

1. English Stenographer: 4 Nos. (SC—1; ST—1)
Qualification Required: Madhyamik pass or equivalent and knowledge of computer. Candidates must have minimum shorthand speed of eighty words per minute and minimum typing speed of thirty words per minute.
Pay scale: Rs.7100—37600 and Grade pay: Rs.2600/-

2. Lower Division Clerk (Group-C): 59 Nos. [ Gen-15, UR-EC-10, UR-PwD-03, UR-Ex-Serviceman in Group C- 01, UR-Meritorious Sportsperson- 02/ SC-11, SC-EC-02, SC-Ex-Serviceman in Group- C- 01/ ST- 03, ST-EC- 01/ OBC(A)- 04, OBC(A)-EC- 02/ OBC(B)- 02, OBC(B)-EC- 02 ]
Qualification Required: Madhyamik pass or equivalent and knowledge of computer.
Pay scale: Rs.5400—25200 and Grade pay: Rs.2600/-

Age Limits: between 18yrs to 40yrs as on 01-01-2013.

Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination (Preliminary and Main test for LDC) whereas Shorthand and Typing Test will be there for the post of English Stenographer. Refer the Advt. for details (link given below).

Application fee: Each application must be accompanied by application Fee of Rs. 200/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/ST candidates only) for the post of English Stenographer & Lower Division Clerk category by Indian Postal Order ( IPO ) drawn in favour of: The District Judge, North 24 Pgns, Barasat, payable at Barasat.

How to Apply: Apply on prescribed Application format along with attested copies of testimonials and documents. (application form can be opened from the below given link)
Candidates should enclose attested copies (attestation by Gazetted Officer) of testimonials and document in support of eligibility, 2 nos passport size photograph duly signed by the candidates (one in the Application form and other in the Admit Card), One self-addressed envelope (25cmX11cm) with affixed postal stamp of Rs.5/- and Postal Order.
