Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO) is recruiting 899 posts of Senior Technical Assistant, Admin & Allied, and Technician in various Trades/Discipline through DRDO Entry Test – 2014 for CEPTAM. Advertisement No.: CEPTAM-07. Candidates willing to apply for the vacancies may submit their application through Online Mode (See URL below). 1. SENIOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANT ‘B’ (STA ‘B’): Total vacancies — 419 Nos.
Pay Band: PB-2, Rs 9300-34800 (Grade Pay Rs 4200/-) per month.
Age Limit: 18 to 28 yrs as on Closing Date. The Upper age limit is relaxation for reserved categories as per Govt. norms.

Discipline wise vacancies are as follows:—
(i) Automobile Engineering: 3 Nos.
Qualification: Three years Diploma in Automobile/ Mechanical (Automobile) Engineering, from recognized Technical Board/ Institute.

(ii) Chemical Engineering: 6 Nos.
Qualification: Three years Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology, from recognized Technical Board/ Institute.

(iii) Chemistry: 23 Nos.
Qualification: B.Sc. degree in Chemistry/Chemical Science from recognized University/ Institute (candidates of PCM/ZBC/PCB Group may also apply).

(iv) Civil Engineering: 13 Nos.
Qualification: Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering, from recognized Technical Board/ Institute.

(v) Computer Science: 79 Nos.
Qualification: B.Sc. degree Or Three years Diploma in Computer Science/ Engineering/ Technology/ Application/Hardware Maintenance or Diploma in IT/Network Engg, from recognized University/ Technical Board/ Institute (Courses by DOEACC/BCA/MCA are not eligible).

(vi) Electrical & Electronics: 9 Nos.
Qualification: Three years Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from recognized Technical Board/ Institute.

(vii) Electrical Engineering: 26 Nos.
Qualification: Three years Diploma in Electrical Engineering from recognized Technical Board/ Institute.

(viii) Electronics & Instrumentation: 21 Nos.
Qualification: B.Sc. degree Or Three years Diploma in Electronics & Instrumentation, from recognized University/ Technical Board/ Institute.

(ix)Electronics or Electronics & Communication or Electronics & Telecommunication: 74 Nos.
Qualification: B.Sc. degree Or Three years Diploma in Electronics or Electronics & Communication or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering or Electronics Fiber Optics & Communication, from recognized University/ Technical Board/ Institute.

(x) Instrumentation: 4 Nos.
Qualification: Three years Diploma in Instrumentation or Instrumentation & Control Engineering from recognized Technical Board/ Institute.

(xi) Library Science: 7 Nos.
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Science, with minimum one year Diploma in Library Science, from recognized University/ Institute.

(xii) Mathematics: 5 Nos.
Qualification: B.Sc. degree in Mathematics, from recognized University/ Institute (candidates of PCM Group may also apply).

(xiii) Mechanical Engineering: 106 Nos.
Qualification: Three years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engg with spl. In Production/Automobile/Refrigeration/Air Conditioning/Maintenance, from recognized Technical Board/ Institute.

(xiv) Metallurgy: 8 Nos.
Qualification: Three years Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering, from recognized Technical Board/ Institute.

(xv) Microbiology: 4 Nos.
Qualification: B.Sc. degree in Microbiology from recognized University/ Institute.

(xvi) Nursing: 4 Nos.
Qualification: B.Sc. degree in Nursing/ Part Basic B.Sc Nursing from recognized University/Institute.

(xvii) Photography: 2 Nos.
Qualification: Three years Diploma in Photography or Cinematography or B.Sc (Vocational Photography & Cinematography) from recognized University/ Technical Board/ Institute ( Applied courses and Bachelor in Fine Arts not eligible).

(xviii) Physics: 15 Nos.
Qualification: B.Sc. degree in Physics, from recognized University/ Institute (candidates of PCM/PCB Group may also apply).

(xix) Radiography: 1 No.
Qualification: B.Sc. Degree Or Three years Diploma in Radiography/ Medical Imaging from recognized University/ Technical Board/ Institute.

(xx) Textile: 3 Nos.
Qualification: B.Sc. Degree in Textile/ Textile Science or Three years Diploma in Textile Engineering/ Textile Chemistry/Textile Processing/Textile Design from recognized University/Technical Board/ Institute.

(xxi) Zoology: 6 Nos.
Qualification: B.Sc. degree in Zoology/Life Science from recognized University/ Institute (candidates of ZBC Group may also apply).

 

2. ADMIN & ALLIED: 144 Nos.

Discipline wise vacancies are as follows:—
(i) Assistant Hindi: 6 Nos.
Qualification: Master’s Degree of a recognized University in English/Hindi with Hindi and English as compulsory elective subjects at degree level OR Bachelor’s degree with Hindi and English as main subjects (which includes the term compulsory and elective) and two years Experience of translation from English to Hindi or vice versa.
Age Limit: 18 to 30 yrs as on Closing Date. The Upper age limit is relaxation for reserved categories as per Govt. norms.

(ii) Personal Assistant “A” (English Typing): 9 Nos.
Qualification: XII class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University and Accurate speed of 80 words per minute in shorthand and 40 words per minute in typing in English or Accurate speed of 8000 key depressions per hour for data entry into computer. (Typing test will be on computer only).
Age Limit: 18 to 30 yrs as on Closing Date. The Upper age limit is relaxation for reserved categories as per Govt. norms.

(iii) Admin Assistant “A” (English Typing): 71 Nos.
Qualification: XII Class Pass OR equivalent from a recognized Board or University and Typing on computer at the speed of 35 words per minute in English (35 words per minute corresponds to 10500 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.) (Typing test will be on computer only).
Age Limit: 18 to 30 yrs as on Closing Date. The Upper age limit is relaxation for reserved categories as per Govt. norms.

(iv) Admin Assistant “A” (Hindi Typing): 6 Nos.
Qualification: XII Class Pass OR equivalent from a recognized Board or University and Typing on computer at the speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi (30 words per minute corresponds to 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.) (Typing test will be on computer only).
Age Limit: 18 to 30 yrs as on Closing Date. The Upper age limit is relaxation for reserved categories as per Govt. norms.

(v) Store Assistant “A” (English Typing): 51 Nos.
Qualification: XII Class Pass OR equivalent from a recognized Board or University and Typing on computer at the speed of 35 word per minute in English (35 words per minute corresponds to 10500 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.) (Typing test will be on computer only).
Age Limit: 18 to 30 yrs as on Closing Date. The Upper age limit is relaxation for reserved categories as per Govt. norms.

(vi) Store Assistant “A” (Hindi Typing): 1 Nos.
Qualification: XII Class Pass OR equivalent from a recognized Board or University and Typing on computer at the speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi (30 words per minute corresponds to 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.) (Typing test will be on computer only).
Age Limit: 18 to 30 yrs as on Closing Date. The Upper age limit is relaxation for reserved categories as per Govt. norms.

 

3. TECHNICIAN -‘A’ (TECH -‘A’): Total vacancies — 235 Nos.
Pay Band: PB-2, Rs 5200-20200 (Grade Pay Rs 1900/-) per month.
Age Limit: 18 to 28 yrs as on Closing Date: The Upper age limit is relaxation for reserved categories as per Govt. norms.

Discipline wise vacancies are as follows:—
(i) Book Binder: 7 Nos.
Qualification: X Class Pass OR equivalent and Certificate from ITI in Book Binder or Offset Machine Operator cum Book Binder Trade.

(ii) Carpenter: 5 Nos.
Qualification: X Class OR equivalent and Certificate from ITI in Carpenter Trade.

(iii) COPA: 29 Nos.
Qualification: X Class Pass OR equivalent and Certificate from ITI in Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA) Trade.

(iv) Cutting & Tailoring: 4 Nos.
Qualification: X Class Pass OR equivalent and Certificate from ITI in Cutting & Tailoring Trade.

(v) Draughtsman (Mechanical): 6 Nos.
Qualification: X Class Pass OR equivalent and Certificate from ITI in Draughtsman (Mechanical) Trade.

(vi) DTP Operator: 4 Nos.
Qualification: X Class Pass OR equivalent and Certificate from ITI in Desk Top Publishing Trade.

(vii) Electrician: 38 Nos.
Qualification: X Class Pass OR equivalent and Certificate from ITI in Electrician/ Wireman/ Electrical Fitter Trade.

(viii) Electronics: 29 Nos.
Qualification: X Class Pass OR equivalent and (ii) Certificate from ITI in Electronics/Electronic Mechanic /Radio & TV Mechanic/Radar Mechanic/IT & Electronic System Maintenance/ Maintenance of Industrial Electronics Trade.

(ix) Fitter: 35 Nos.
Qualification: X Class Pass OR equivalent and (ii) Certificate from ITI in Fitter Trade.

(x) Machinist: 38 Nos.
Qualification: X Class Pass OR equivalent and (ii) Certificate from ITI in Machinist/Machinist (Composite) Trade.

(xi) Mechanic (Diesel): 1 Nos.
Qualification: X Class Pass OR equivalent and (ii) Certificate from ITI in Diesel Mechanic Trade.

(xii) Medical Lab Technology: 7 Nos.
Qualification: X Class Pass OR equivalent and (ii) 2/3 Years Dip./Bachelor/B.Sc of Medical Lab Technology.

(xiii) Refrigeration & Air Conditioning: 5 Nos.
Qualification: X Class Pass OR equivalent and (ii) Certificate from ITI in Refrigeration & AC Mechanic Trade.

(xiv) Sheet Metal Worker: 3 Nos.
Qualification: X Class Pass OR equivalent and (ii) Certificate from ITI in Sheet Metal Worker Trade.

(xv) Turner: 15 Nos.
Qualification: X Class Pass OR equivalent and (ii) Certificate from ITI in Turner Trade.

(xvi) Welder: 11 Nos.
Qualification: X Class Pass OR equivalent and (ii) Certificate from ITI in Welder Trade.

 

4. ADMIN & ALLIED: Total — 101 Nos.
Pay Band: PB-2, Rs 5200-20200 (Grade Pay Rs 1900/-) per month.
Age Limit: 18 to 27 yrs as on Closing Date: The Upper age limit is relaxation for reserved categories as per Govt. norms.

Discipline wise vacancies are as follows:—
(i) Security Assistant ‘A’: 12 Nos. Qualification: XII class pass Or equivalent from a recognized Board or University or equivalent certificate awarded by Armed Forces in the case of Ex-Serviceman and Physical fitness and capability to undertake strenuous duties.

(ii) Clerk (Canteen Manager): 3 Nos.
Qualification: Secondary School Certificate (10th Standard Pass under 10+2 system) recognised by the Central/State Government.(ii) Accurate typing speed in English (minimum 30 words per minute) or in Hindi (minimum 25 words per minute).

(iii) Vehicle Operator ‘A’: 78 Nos.
Qualification: X class pass Or equivalent qualification by the Central/ State Governments and possessing :(i) A valid driving license for Two/Three wheelers and light and heavy vehicles (both) and (ii) One year experience of driving after aquiring the licence. (HMV).

(iv) Fire Engine Driver ‘A’: 6 Nos.
Qualification: X class pass Or equivalent qualification recognised by the Central/ State Governments, (ii) A valid driving license for Two/Three wheelers and light and heavy vehicles (both) (iii)Knowledge of traffic regulations, (iv) Physical fitness and capability for strenuous duties.

(v) Asstt Halwai-cum-Cook: 4 Nos.
Qualification: Secondary School Certificate (10th Standard pass under 10+2 Scheme) and Two years experience in Cooking in a Government/Semi Government or Autonomous Organization.

 

APPLICATION FEE:
Candidates must pay Rs.50/- for Gen/OBC. Fee is to be paid online for online applications through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net banking. For offline applications, the fee is to be paid through INDIAN POSTAL ORDER (IPO) only issued in favour of “The Director, CEPTAM, Delhi”, payable at Delhi.

No Fee for SC/ST/PWD/ESM and Woman candidates.
