1. DREDGE CADET
No. of Vacancies: 15 Nos. (UR-08, OBC-03, SC-02, EWS-01, ST-01)
Educational Qualification: Should have completed Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS) from Institutes approved by D.G. Shipping.
2. TRAINEE MARINE ENGINEER
No. of Vacancies: 15 Nos. (UR-08, OBC-03, SC-02, EWS-01, ST-01)
Educational Qualification: Should have completed 04 years Degree in Marine Engineering from any IMU affiliated Colleges/ Institutes approved by DG Shipping.
3. TRAINEE ELECTRICAL OFFICER
No. of Vacancies: 10 Nos. (UR-06, OBC-02, SC-01, EWS -01)
Educational Qualification: Should have completed 04 years Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Electronics & Telecommunication/ Communication Engineering or Electronics & Instrumentation and must have completed 04 months Electro Technical Officer course from DG Shipping Approved Institutes.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years as on 30/09/2020.
4. NEAR COSTAL VOYAGE TRAINEE (GP RATING)
No. of Vacancies: 15 Nos. (UR-08, OBC-03, SC-02, EWS-01, ST-01)
Educational Qualification: Minimum Xth Class Pass from recognized Education Board and Pre-Sea G.P Rating Course and passed the Exit Examination approved by D.G Shipping with minimum 60% aggregate marks.
Age Limit: Below 25 years as on 30/09/2020.
The candidates will be appointed on Contract basis.
Note:-
i) Candidates, who have already acquired COC as MEO CL IV and also who are about to obtain the said COC are not eligible to apply for Trainee Marine Engineer.
ii) Candidates, who have already acquired COC as Dredge Mate Gr. I/ 2nd Mate (FG) and also who are about to obtain the said COC are not eligible to apply for DNS cadet.
The period of onboard training for selected candidates will be 18 months for Dredge Cadets and Near Costal Voyage Trainee, 08 months for Electrical Officer and 06 months for Trainee Marine Engineer. During the training period Dredge Cadets will be paid stipend of Rs.15000/- per month, Trainee Electrical Officers & Trainee Marine Engineers will be paid stipend of Rs.25000/- per month and Near Coastal Voyage (Trainees) will be paid stipend of Rs.10,000/- per month.
All candidates should possess requisite valid Indian CDC, Passport, INDOS and basic STCW2010 Certificates
Candidates’ Selection: The selection will be done based on the marks/ percentage obtained in the prescribed qualification.
