Railway Recruitment Cell, Eastern Railway (Kolkata — West Bengal) is inviting Application form on plain paper for the Group ‘D’ posts — Porter, Gateman, Safaiwala/Peon/Cook/ Bearer, Gate Keeper, Trackman, Helper/ Khalasi, Velveman/ Chowkidar/ Mali, Ayah and Etc. in different Department. Whereas Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) is recruiting 308 Group-D posts. Interested and eligible applicants may apply on below prescribed application format. Employment Notice No.-0113. 1. Group-D posts in Eastern Railway: 2522 Nos. (Gen—1234; SC—441; ST—306; OBC—541). Ex-Servicemen—508 and PWD—40. 
2. Group-D posts in Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW): 308 Nos. (Gen—156; SC—46; ST—23; OBC—83). PWD—9 Nos.

For Department —Transport.
1. Porter: 142 Nos. (Gen—79; SC—20; ST—9; OBC—34). Out of them Ex-Servicemen 28 Nos. and PWD – 4 Nos.

For Department — Workshop
18. Helper: 240 Nos. (Gen—121; SC—36; ST—18; OBC—65). Out of them PWD—7 Nos.

For Department — All Deptt. (outside Workshop)
19. Peon / CKDR/ Sanitary Cleaner/ Helper, etc: 68 Nos. (Gen—35; SC—10; ST—05; OBC—18). Out of them PWD—2 Nos.

Educational Qualification (For all above posts): Minimum Madhyamik pass/ Class 10 pass OR ITI or equivalent.
Candidates awaiting final examination or results are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit: Between 18yrs to 33yrs as on 01-01-2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection will be based on the performance of the eligible candidates in written examination, Physical Efficiency Test(PET) followed by original documents verification on the same venue and date. For PET, candidates qualified in the written examination, will be called for as per merit to a limited extent as per the guideline.

Physical Efficiency Test will be of qualifying nature only and will consist the following —
For Male candidates — Run for a distance of 1000 mtrs in 4minute and 15seconds.
For Female candidates — Run for a distance of 400 mtrs in 3minutes and 10seconds.

Examination Fee: Rs.100/- only. The Examination fee should be paid in the form of crossed Demand Draft/Pay Order from any Nationalized Bank or crossed Indian Postal Order from any Post Office drawn in favour of “ Senior Personnel Officer (Recruitment), Railway Recruitment Cell, Eastern Railway” payable at “KOLKATA” . Validity of Bank Draft/Pay Order/IPO should be of minimum two years from the date of issue, otherwise application will not be considered and amount forfeited.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST, PWD(PH), Women, Minority Communities, Ex-servicemen and Economically Backward Classes/Sections are exempted from payment of examination fees.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format (See the below link for format) along with attested copies of testimonials in support of Education, Caste, Age, and Etc.
Candidates must enclose the following documents in Attested Copies, stitched firmly with the form. Only xerox, attested copies of certificates/documents should be enclosed. A Gazetted Officer should attest copies of Certificates. —

• Educational Qualification certificate, Age proof (Madhyamik certificate can be given for proof)
• Caste Certificate, if SC/ST/OBC
• PH certificate or Discharge certificate, if PH or Ex-Servicemen
• And any other relevant testimonials.

The envelope containing the Application form must be superscribe with “Recruitment in Pay Band-I Rs.5200-20200/- with GP Rs.1800/-  Eastern Railway. Community ______”. 
PWD (PH) candidates must mention PWD/PH at the Top of the envelope and Ex-Serviceman candidate must mentioned ESM at the top of the application for Recruitment in Pay Band-I Rs.5200-20200/- with GP Rs.1800/- clearly.
