Eastern Railway, Sealdah Division, is inviting application for the vacancies against Sports Quota. Eligible male sports person may apply for the vacancies. Total vacancies—05 Nos. Sports discipline—Football, Golf and Cricket. Employment Notice No. E/SC/SPORTS/SELECT/2013-14. Educational norms and eligibility criteria in brief is given below —
MALE SPORTS PERSON
Number of Vacancies: 05 Nos.
Sports Discipline —
— Football: 2 Nos. (Stopper-1; Striker-1)
— Golf: 1 Nos.
— Cricket: 02 Nos. (Wicket keeper-1; Pace-1)
Educational Qualification: Minimum Matriculation pass or ITI pass. However, class VIII pass candidates may be also considered if person is having Outstanding Sports achievements.
Sports Eligibility: Candidates should have represented the country in International or National or State level games.
The sports achievements should be in the immediate previous two years and sports persons should be an active player. Please see the below given PDF file for more details.
Age as on 01-01-2014: Between 18yrs to 25yrs. There is no age relaxation.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1800/-
Application Fee: Candidates (General and OBC category) must prepare a Crossed Indian Postal Order of Rs.40/- payable to Divisional Sports Officer / Divisional Sports Association / Eastern Railway, Sealdah , payable at GPO/ Kolkata.
No Application Fee for SC/ST/ Minorities/ Ex-Serviceman and Economically backward class.
The selection of the candidates will be done by the competent recruitment committee and trial committee through TRIALS and INTERVIEW. Candidates declared fit in Trials will be considered for Interview.
Finally candidates will be go for Medical Examination for fitness test.
How to Apply: Apply on prescribed application format only prepared on plain good quality A4 size paper. The Application form must be enclosed with the attested copies of testimonials in support of Qualification, Age, Caste, Sports eligibility and etc.

Application form can be also dropped in the Drop-Box kept in the office premises for the purpose.
