Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Limited, as per Advt. No.OHPC: HQ: HRD: RECTT: 03/2012, is recruiting 51 persons as “Graduate Engineer Trainees (GET)”, “Management Trainees (MT)” and “Diploma Engineer Trainee (DET)” in discipline of Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, HRD and Finance. Degree, Engineering Degree and Diploma holders may apply. Brief details given below—
1. GRADUATE ENGINEER TRAINEES (GET) in discipline of –
(I) Electrical: 22 Nos. (Gen-3; SC-4; ST-12; SEBC-3). Out of total 1nos. for PH candidates.
Qualification: Degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Full time) with minimum 60% marks in aggregate or AMIE in Electrical Engineering with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
(II) Mechanical: 6 Nos. (Gen-2; SC-1; ST-1; SEBC-2)
Qualification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Full time) with minimum 60% marks in aggregate or AMIE in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
(III) Civil: 1 Nos. (ST)
Qualification: Degree in Civil Engineering (Full time) with minimum 60% marks in aggregate or AMIE in Civil Engineering with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
2. MANAGEMENT TRAINEES (MT) in discipline of—
(I) Human Resources Development (HRD): 3 Nos. (Gen-2; SC-1)
Qualification: Post-Graduate Degree/ Diploma of Two years(Full time) duration in personnel Management/ Industrial Relations & welfare/ HRD/ HRM/ PM & IR/ MBA with specialisation in HRD or Personnel Management with 60% marks in aggregate.
(II) Finance: 2 Nos. (Gen-1; ST-1)
Qualification: Degree in any discipline with ACA/AICWA/MBA(Finance) from XLRI, IIMS or XIMB for candidates belonging to General and SEBC category. For candidates belonging to SC & ST category, the minimum qualification is Degree in any discipline with MBA(Finance)
3. DIPLOMA ENGINEER TRAINEES (DET) in discipline of—
(I) Electrical: 9 Nos. (Gen-2; SC-1; SEBC-6). Out of them 1nos. for PH
Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Full time) with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.
(II) Civil: 8 Nos. (Gen-2; SC-1; ST-2; SEBC-3).
Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.
N.B: For all above disciplines, the minimum percentage of marks is 50% in aggregate for SC/ST candidates. Candidates waiting for final results may also apply but shall have to produce original mark sheet during selection test/ interview.
Age limit: Candidates should be between 21yrs to 32yrs as on 1/5/2012. Age relaxation—5 yrs for SC/ST/SEBC/Ex-Serviceman and Woman candidates; 10yrs for PH candidates.
Stipend during Training period and Pay Scale after completion of Training—
For Graduate Engineer Trainees and Management Trainees: During Training period of 1 year; Rs.18000 per month as a consolidated stipend plus medical allowances of Rs.200 p.m. and after successful completion of Training; will be placed in the scale of Rs.9300—Rs.34800 and Grade pay—Rs.4600.
For Diploma Engineer Trainees: During Training period of 1 year; Rs.12000 per month as a consolidated stipend plus medical allowances of Rs.200 p.m. and after successful completion of training; will be place in the scale of Rs. 9300—Rs.34800 and Grade pay—Rs.4200.
Selection Steps: Selection will be through Written Test which will be of Multiple Choice Questions on – (I) General Aptitude (50 questions) and (ii) Subject knowledge (100 questions).
Written Examination will be held at Bhubaneswar on the same day and date for all posts. Qualified candidates will be called for Personal Interview. Date and venue will be intimated to the candidates.

Application Fee: Before applying online, candidates are required to pay application fee of Rs.350 in form of Demand Draft in favour of Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Limited, payable at Bhubaneswar. The candidates should write his/her name, Date of birth and Contact No, on the reverse of the draft. Application fee is not required for SC/ST and PH candidates.
