The vacancies are in the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
Educational Qualification: i) Should have completed Full-time Bachelor Degree in Engineering (B.Tech./ BE./ Equivalent) in Chemical/ Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical discipline from recognized Institutions/ Colleges/ Universities with 65% marks (55% for SC/ ST/ PWD category candidates).
ii) Candidates currently in final year of their engineering studies may also apply.
iii) Candidates have to essentially qualify in the GATE-2020 examination in Chemical/ Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical engineering disciplines. GATE marks of previous years (2019 or before) will not be accepted.
iv) Candidates pursuing/ completed their graduation (BE/ B.Tech) in combined/ integrated disciplines/ inter-disciplinary subjects like Mechatronics/ Robotics etc will not be eligible to apply.
Age Limit: Maximum 26 years as on 30/06/2020.
Basic Pay: Rs.50000 per month initially for Engineers/ Officers.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
The candidates selected as Graduate Apprentice Engineers (GAEs) under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 (and subsequent amendments thereafter) will be appointed for a period of One year and on the basis of their satisfactory performance during the apprenticeship period, they may be absorbed in the Corporation.
Note:- Candidates pursuing/ completed M.Tech in any discipline, other than those mentioned above, for being eligible, must have completed BE/ B.Tech in one of the relevant mentioned disciplines and must have appeared in GATE-2020 examination in the respective discipline of their BE/ B.Tech.
Candidates’ Selection: The candidates will be selected based on marks obtained by them in GATE- 2020 in respective discipline, Group Discussion (GD)/ Group Task (GT) and Personal Interview (PI).
