National Sample Survey Office, Regional Office at Kolkata and Burdwan requires 26 Field Investigators. Last Dt. 30/01/2013.

National Sample Survey Office, Regional Office at Kolkata (West Bengal), is recruiting 26 candidates for the posts of “Field Investigators” on contract basis in the Regional Office of National Sample Survey Office (Field Operations Division) at Kolkata and Burdwan with its Sub Regional Office at Howrah, Chinsurah/ Midnapur (West)/ Bankura. The engagement to the posts were on for a maximum nine & a half months from the month of April, 2013. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria is given below —

1. FIELD INVESTIGATORS: 26 Nos.

Qualification Required: Graduate degree with Statistics/ Economics/ Mathematics as on of the papers at the degree level.
Candidates must have knowledge of English and Local language, i.e. Bengali.
Candidates must have knowledge of Computer applications like MS Office (MS Word/ Excel etc)

Desirable Qualification: Experience in conducting field survey and field data collection work in a Government Organisation. Such Candidates would be given preference at the time of assessing the suitability for the job.

Age Limits: candidates must be between 21 years to 30 years as on 01-01-2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC is as per Govt. norms.
Age relaxation will be given to the candidates who have work experience in Govt. organisation (for candidates who meets the desirable qualification given above)

Remuneration: Rs.15000/- per month plus TA/DA as per norms and duties.

The engagement to the above posts is on purely contract basis for maximum Nine & half months from the month April (01-04-2013).
The selected candidates perform field surveys of NSSO in Rural and Urban areas and would be placed at Regional Offices or its Sub-regional Offices of Field Operations Division of National Sample Survey Office.

Candidates who meets the above qualification criteria will be shortlisted and will be called for Interview. The date and venue of Interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course through Emails.
