West Bengal’s government—for the division of Fishery, Aquaculture, Aquatic Resources and Fishing Harbour, recruitments of 286 boys/girls is going on for the post of “Fishery Field Assistant”.
Total vacant posts: 268 Nos. (Gen-147, OBC-49- including A and B category, SC-64, ST-17, M.S.P.-6, PH-3)
Graduate in Science stream with major/ vocational in Industrial Fish or Fisheries done candidates may apply for the ppost.
Age should be within 35 years as on 1-1-2011. Age relaxation is as per rule.
Candidates outside West Bengal may apply as a General Candidates. Candidates should be in good health, should know to ride bi-cycle or motor cycle, should know swimming and should have interest to work in rural areas.
If selected, training will be given to the candidates at West Bengal government’s fishery training school.
Pay scale will be Rs.7100 to Rs.37600 and Grade pay Rs.3200.
Candidates’ selection will be through West Bengal Public Service commission. First there will be screening test and then interview.
Admit card will be send to the candidates according to the scheduled time, if any candidates do not receive any admit card, they may call at the following numbers—(033) 24198187.
Application can be prepared on plain full-scope paper by neatly typing according to the given format. Application format can be found on- http://www.wbssc.com
Along with application, following documents should be attached—
- Attested copies of Madhyamik certificate or Mark sheet
- Attested copies of all educational certificates or Admit card (From Madhyamik to Graduate)
- Caste certificates and any other according to categories of the candidates
- Two self-addressed envelope without any postal stamp
- One recent passport photo with self-sign on it (paste it on application form)
- Crossed postal Order or Treasury Challan or Rs.160. postal Order should be in favour of “The Secretary, public Service Commission, West Bengal” and payable at “GPO Kolkata”. If Treasury Challan, it should be on title of “0051-00- 105- State PSC Examination fees”. Treasury Challan should be only purchased from any Government Treasury or Reserve bank. No fee required for SC/ST or PH candidates if provided attested copies of documents.
On the top of envelope, write: “Advertisement No. 7/2011, Fishery Field Assistant”. Do not send more than one application for the post.
