1. FOREST GUARD
No. of Vacancies: 227 Nos.
Educational Qualification: A pass in Higher Secondary Course with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Zoology or Botany as one of the Subject.
Provided that this qualification shall not be necessary in respect of candidates belonging to the Jungle Tribes and also in the case of those who were appointed as Reserve Watchers on or before 11/10/1982. For more details please see the Official Advt.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years as on 01/07/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.18200 — Rs.57900
2. FOREST GUARD WITH DRIVING LICENCE
No. of Vacancies: 93 Nos.
Educational Qualification: i) A pass in Higher Secondary Course (plus two) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Zoology or Botany as one of the subjects.
ii) Must possess a valid driving licence.
iii) Must possess basic knowledge about the general mechanism of automobiles.
iv) Must possess first aid certificate issued by the recognized organization in Tamil Nadu.
v) Must be certified to possess the visual standard specified by Tamil Nadu Forest Uniformed Services Recruitment Committee (TNFUSRC). For details please see the Official Advt.
Experience: Should possess experience in driving of Light motor vehicles/ Heavy motor vehicles for a period of not less than 03 years after getting the driving licence.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years as on 01/07/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.18200 — Rs.57900
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ (SC(A)/ ST/ MBC/ DT/ BC/ BCM and Destitute Widows of all castes.
The vacancies are under the Tamil Nadu Forest Subordinate Service in Tamil Nadu Forest Department. The candidates will be appointed on Direct Recruitment basis.
Note: Candidates should possess adequate knowledge of Tamil.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 163 cms (152 cm for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 79 cms; Chest (expanded) — 84 cms.
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 150 cms (145 cm for ST candidates); Chest — 74 cms; Chest (expanded) — 79 cms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Online Examination, Certificate Verification, Physical Standards Verification and Endurance Test. The Online Computer based Examination will be conducted in the month of March, 2020. Examinations will be held in all districts of Tamil Nadu.
