GATE 2015 – Apply for GATE for various Engineers/Executives vacancies opening in different PSU. Last Dt. 21/10/14

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2015) — IIT Kanpur is going to organize GATE 2015. GATE is an all India examination for undergraduate students studying various subjects in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture and post-graduate level subjects in Science. Candidates who qualify this Examination were applicable to apply for post-graduate programs (e.g. ME/ M.Tech/ Etc.) as well as the GATE score may also be used by Public and Private Sector Undertakings for employment screening purposes. Interested and eligible candidates may apply for GATE – 2015 through the official website of IIT Kanpur (See URL below). Brief details are given below —

 

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2015)
Beside further studies, candidates with valid GATE Score may also apply for recruitment/ jobs in various Public Sector undertaking. Some PSU which normally recruits GATE score card holders for different Engineering/ Executives posts are – Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Power Grid India, ONGC etc.
Eligibility for GATE 2015
Candidates with below mentioned Qualification Degree are eligible to apply. Such candidates should acquire their qualification within the year mentioned.
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture/Pharmacy (Post-Diploma/Post B.Sc./ 4 years after 10+2)
Note: Candidates shall be currently in the 4thyear or already completed. Year of qualification cannot be later than 2015.

2. Bachelor’s degree in Science (Post-Diploma/ 4 years after 10+2)
Note: Candidates shall be currently in the 4th year or already completed. Year of qualification cannot be later than 2015.

3. Master’s degree in any branch of Science/Mathematics / Statistics / Computer
Note: Candidates shall be currently in the 4thyear or already completed. Year of qualification cannot be later than 2015.

4. Post-BSc Integrated Master’s degree programs in Engineering / Technology (Four year program)
Note: Candidates shall be currently in 2nd, 3rd or 4th year OR already completed. Year of qualification cannot be later than 2017

5. Integrated Master’s degree program or Dual Degree program in Engineering / Technology (Five year program)
Note: Candidates shall be currently in 4th or 5th year OR already completed. Year of qualification cannot be later than 2016.

6. Integrated M.Sc. or Five year integrated B.S.-M.S. program
Note: Candidates shall be currently in the final year or already completed. Year of qualification cannot be later than 2015.

7. Equivalent examinations, of Professional Societies, recognized by MHRD/UPSC/AICTE (e.g., AMIE by Institution of Engineers-India, AMICE by the Institute of Civil Engineers-India)
Note: Completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses . Year of qualification not applicable.

GATE 2015 examinations will be held during forenoon and afternoon sessions on alternate weekends (Saturday and Sunday) between 31st January 2015 and 14th February 2015. Examination for some of the papers in GATE 2015 will be held in multiple sessions.
Examinations for all the 22 papers will be conducted by an ONLINE Computer Based Test (CBT).

Application Fee: During submission of Online Application, candidates will require to pay Application fee which is Rs.1500/– for General and OBC candidates. Rs.750/- for women candidates of any category and Rs.750/- for SC/ST & PWD categories. Fee can be paid through Net Banking or e-Challan. For fee payment mode, see the Advt. given below.
How to Apply: Applicants shall apply Online through the URL given below. Candidates shall follow the instruction outlined in the officially released advertisement on how to apply online.

Upon successful submission of Online Application, candidates must print-out the system generated Registration Slip for future correspondence. There is no need to send any hard copy or documents to anywhere.

GATE 2015 Online Examination: 31/01/2015 and 1st, 7th, 8th & 14th of February, 2015.
