The vacancies are for undergoing One (01) year Apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973 in Public Works Department (PWD), Govt. of Tamil Nadu in the disciplines mentioned below. PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, TAMIL NADU INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 280 GRADUATE APPRENTICE AND TECHNICIAN (DIPLOMA) APPRENTICE. LAST DATE — 15/11/2020
1. GRADUATE APPRENTICE
No. of Vacancies: 120 Nos.
Discipline wise vacancies:
i) Civil Engineering- 110 posts
ii) Electrical and Electronics Engineering- 05 posts
iii) Electronics and Communication Engineering- 05 posts
Educational Qualification: i) A Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University/ Institution in relevant discipline.
ii) Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.4984 per month
2. TECHNICIAN (DIPLOMA) APPRENTICE
No. of Vacancies: 160 Nos.
Discipline wise vacancies:
i) Civil Engineering- 150 posts
ii) Electrical and Electronics Engineering- 05 posts
iii) Electronics and Communication Engineering- 05 posts
Educational Qualification: A Diploma in Engineering or Technology in relevant discipline from a recognized State Council or Board of Technical Education/ University/ Institution.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.3542 per month
The vacancies are for undergoing One (01) year Apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973 in Public Works Department (PWD), Govt. of Tamil Nadu.
Note:- Only candidates hailing from Tamilnadu are eligible to apply.
The Graduate/ Diploma holders who have passed during the year 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 are eligible to apply for the apprenticeship training.
Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973, and/ or having one year or more experience are not eligible to apply.
Candidates’ Selection: Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the Educational Qualification. Shortlisted candidates have to appear for Certificate Verification at Chennai from 01/12/2020 to 04/12/2020.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates should first enroll themselves as Apprentices through the following Govt. web portal- www.mhrdnats.gov.in on or before 07/11/2020. After enrolling in the Govt. web portal the candidates should apply online for the apprenticeship training through the same portal from dated 19/10/2020 to 15/11/2020.
Note:- The candidates who have already enrolled in the National Web Portal and having login details can login and apply directly for the apprenticeship training. The candidates are not required to enroll themselves again. For more details please see the officially released advertisement.
Upon successful submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, TAMIL NADU AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
