Educational Qualification:
i) Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University/ Institution.
ii) Candidate must be able to read, write and speak Odia and have- (a) Passed Middle School examination with Odia as a language subject, or (b) Passed HSC or equivalent examination with Odia as a medium of examination in non-language subject, or (c) Passed in Odia as Language subject in the final examination of Class VII from a School or Educational Institution recognized by the Govt. of Odisha or the Central Govt., or (d) Passed a test in Odia in Middle School Standard conducted by the School & Mass Education Department of Govt. of Odisha.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years as on 01/01/2018.
Reserved Category candidates from the states other than Odisha shall be treated as General Candidates.
The vacancies are under Odisha Civil Services.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Physical Standards (For Odisha Police Service only):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 165 cm (160 cm for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 79 cm (79 cm for ST); Chest (expanded) — 84 cm (84 cm for ST)
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 150 cm (145 cm for ST candidates); Chest — 74 cm (74 cm for ST); Chest (expanded) — 79 cm (79 cm for ST)
Candidates must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, Physical Standard Test and Personality Test or Interview wherever applicable. Both Preliminary Examination and Main Examination will be held at at the following centres namely, Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Sambalpur. The Preliminary Examination will be held on 28/10/2018.

NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ST CANDIDATES OF ODISHA AND PWD CANDIDATES.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
