No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos.
Cultural discipline wise vacancies:
i) Classical Dancer (Bharat Natyam/ Odishi/ Kathak)- 01 post
ii) Dramatist- 01 post
Educational Qualification: i) 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate for Non Technical Popular Categories.
Note: 50% marks are not required for SC/ ST/ Ex-servicemen and candidates possessing higher qualification like Graduate/ Post Graduation.
OR
ii) A pass in Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board and having ITI certificate for the artisan posts (Tech-III).
Cultural Qualification:
i) For Classical Dancer (Bharat Natyam/ Odishi/ Kathak):- Possession of Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate in Classical Dance (Bharat Natyam/ Odishi/ Kathak) from Govt. recognized Institute.
ii) For Dramatist:- Possession of Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate in Drama from Govt. recognized Institute.
Desirable: i) Experience in relevant field and performance given on AIR/ Doordarshan etc.
ii) Prizes won at National level.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 01/01/2020.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
The vacancies are against Cultural Quota in East Coast Railway for the year 2019-20.
Candidates who are appearing at and/ or awaiting results of final examination are not eligible to apply.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Test, Practical Demonstration and Testimonials/ Prizes.
