i) Sweeper- 36 posts (SC-13, UR-10, OBC-07, ST-06)
ii) Labourer- 11 posts (SC-04, UR-03, OBC-02, ST-02)
iii) Mazdoor- 01 post (SC)
iv) Peon- 06 posts (SC-02, UR-02, OBC-02)
v) Guard- 01 post (OBC)
Educational Qualification: The candidate should be able to read and write Bengali or Nepali and have passed Class VIII from any Govt. recognized Institution.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years as on 14/02/2020.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC/ PWD category.
The posts are under Siliguri Municipal Corporation on Permanent basis.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Interview.

I’m HS passed and in this vacancy language egibility given that candidates should be able to read and write Bengali or Nepali but I can only speak Nepali can I apply for the post of peon?
Hi, you should have ability to read and write either Nepali or Bengali. Ability to speak Nepali/Bengali alone is not enough. You have to know to read and write too.
If you have studied Bengali upto Class-VIII then you are eligible to apply.
