1859 Boys/Girls in District Judge Court, Kolkata City Civil Court, Kolkata City Session Court and Presidency Small Caused Courts of West Bengal

Under Kolkata High Court— District Judge Court of 19 Districts of West Bengal, Kolkata City Civil Court, Kolkata City Session Court and Presidency Small Caused Court is recruiting 1859 Boys/Girls for the post of “Lower Division Clerk”, “English Stenographer”, “Bengali Stenographer”, “Clerk-cum-Typist”, “Typist-Copyist”, “Driver”, “Process Server”, “Peon”, “Faras”, “Night Guard”, “Gardener”, “Sweeper”, “Day Guard”, “Orderly”, and “Daftry”.
Employment Notification No. 6256-RG, Dated, Calcutta, the 6thJuly-2011.
Who can apply for which post is given below:
1. Lower Division Clerk: Madhyamik Pass boys and girls may apply for the post. Candidates should have taken computer training course from recognized training centre. Should have good typing speed. First preference will be given to the candidates with good and speed English typewriting ability.
Pay scale per month will be Rs.5400 to Rs.25200 and Grade Pay—Rs.2600
2. English Typist, Typist, Typist-cum-Copyist, Clerk-cum-Typist, Typist/Copyist: Madhyamik Pass boys and girls with minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute in English may apply for the post.
Candidates should have learn computer from recognised computer training centre and should have good fingering speed.
Pay scale per month will be Rs.5400 to Rs.25200. Grade pay: Rs.2600
3. Stenographer: Madhyamik pass boys and girls with English Typing speed of 30 words per minute and 80 words per minute in Short hand. Candidates may have learnt computer and have good typing and fingering speed and have good ability in computer operation.
Pay scale  per month: Rs.7100 to Rs.37600 and Grade Pay: Rs.3900
4. Bengali Stenographer (Basic Grade): Madhyamik pass boys and girls with Bengali typing speed of 20 words per minute and 60 words per minute in shorthand may apply for the post.
Candidates should have computer training certificate from recognised training centre and should have good typing and fingering speed with good computer operation skill
Pay scale: Rs.7100 to Rs.37600, Grade Pay: Rs.3900
5. Driver: Class Eight pass boys with valid driving licence of Light/Medium/heavy vehicle may apply for the post. Should have driving experience of minimum 5 years.
Vehicle repairing and heavy vehicle related works experience of 2 years is good and desirable.
Pay scale: Rs.5400 to Rs.25200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2600
6. Process Server: Madhyamik Pass boys and girls may apply. Candidates should have computer training certificate and should have good typing/fingering speed and skill in computer operation.
Pay scale: Rs.5400 to Rs.25200 and Grade Pay:Rs.2300
7. Peon, Faras, Gardener, Day Guard, Orderly, Daftri: Class Eight pass boys may apply for the post.
Pay scale: Rs.4900 to Rs.16200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1700
8. Night Guard: Class Eight pass boys may apply for the post
Pay scale: Rs.4900 to Rs.16200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1700
9. Sweeper: Boys with ability to read and write in Bengali may apply for the post.
Pay scale: 4900 to Rs.16200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1700
Selection of Candidates: Selection of Candidates will be through Written Test, Skill Test (for some posts) and Personality Test.
Posts fall under Groups:
Group B: English Stenographer, Bengali Stenographer
Group C: Lower Division Clerk, Clerk-cum-Typist, Typist-Copyist, Driver, Process Server
Group D: Peon, Faras, Night Guard, Gardener, Sweeper, Day Guard, Orderly, Daftry
Age limit: For all the above mentioned posts, excluding Bengali Stenographer, age should be within 18yrs to 37 yrs as on 1-1-2011
For the post of Bengali Stenographer, age should be within 18yrs to 32yrs as on 1-1-2011
As age relaxation, OBC candidates will receive 3yrs, SC/ST will receive 5yrs and PH candidates will receive 8yrs.
No. of vacancies in each posts: No. of available vacancies differs from District to District.

Along with application form candidates should enclose the following Copies of Attested Documents—
  • Copy of Madhyamik Admit Card for verification of age
  • Educational Mark sheet and Certificates
  • Any experience certificate
  • Computer training and Typing certificate
  • Caste certificate
  • One self addressed envelope with affix postal stamp of Rs.5
  • Recent 2 nos. pass port photo and self-sign on it (one pasted on application form and other in Admit card)
  • Postal Order of Rs.200 (Rs.50 for SC/ST) for all Group “B” and Group “C” posts. Postal Order of Rs.100 (Rs.25 for SC/ST) for all Group “D” posts. Postal order should be in “favour of” and should be “payable at” according to the District based given address (can be found on official site mentioned above)

All the above mentioned copies of documents should be attested by Gazetted Officer. Do not make self-attested or may be cancelled.

One candidate should apply for any one of the post in any one of the district. Applying more than once may lead to cancellation of all application form.
Last date to Apply: Application should reach within 30thJuly 2011. And should be addressed only at the district address where candidates want to do the job.
Application can be send through Ordinary Post, Speed post or Registry Post.
