GSF, Cossipore, Kolkata is recruiting 18 Primary Teacher, Stenographer, Fireman & Durwan. Last Dt. 20/04/2014

Under Ministry of Defence – Gun & Shell Factory, Cossipore, Kolkata, is recruiting 18 Primary Teacher, Stenographer, Fireman and Durwan. Interested and eligible candidates may apply through online mode application from the official website of the factory (See below). Educational qualification norms and eligibility criteria in brief details are given below —

1. PRIMARY TEACHER 
Number of Vacancies: 3 Nos. (Gen—2; OBC—1)
Qualification: Higher Secondary or equivalent AND Degree or Diploma in Education or Teaching OR Basic Training Certificate
Pay Scale: Rs.9300—34800 with Grade Pay: Rs.4200/-

2. STENOGRAPHER
Number of Vacancies: 03 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Higher Secondary or equivalent with ability to take 80 words per minute in stenography (English or Hindi) and Transcript the same within 50 minutes (English) or 65 minutes (Hindi) on computers.

3. FIREMAN 
Number of Vacancies: 5 Nos. (Gen—2; SC—2; OBC—1)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and must have completed basic course (not less than six months) on elementary fire fighting. Must be physically fit and shall meets the following standards –
(a) Height without Shoes: 165 cms.
(b) Chest: unexpanded- 81.5 cms. & expanded- 85 cms.
(c) Weight: Minimum 50 kgs.
Note: Concession of 2.5 cms. in height or chest may be allowed for the candidates from hilly areas.
Endurance Test for the post of Fireman :
(a) Carrying a man (Fireman lift of 63.5 kgs. to a distance of 183 mtrs. within 96 seconds)
(b) Clearing 2.7 mtrs. wide ditch landing on both feet (long jumps)
(c) Climbing 3 mtrs. Vertical rope using hands and feet.

4. DURWAN
Number of Vacancies: 7 Nos. (Gen—4; OBC—3)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and must be physically fit and shall meets the following physical standards —
(a) Height without Shoes: 165 cms.
(b) Chest: unexpanded- 77 cms. & expanded- 82 cms.
(c) Weight: Minimum 45 kgs.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 with Grade Pay: Rs.1800/-

Age limit: 18yrs to 30yrs for the post of Primary Teacher and 18yrs to 27yrs for rest of all posts. Age will be counted as on 20/04/2014. Upper age is Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per norms.

Application Fee: Rs.100/- for the post of Primary Teacher and Rs.50/- for the rest of posts. SC/ST candidates are exempted from application fee. 
Fee is to be paid through any branches of SBI by means of Fee Payment Challan. Fee challan can be downloaded from the factory’s website (see URL below).

How to apply: Interested and eligible candidates shall submit their application only through Online mode from the official website of the factory (See URL given below). 
After successful submission of online application, candidates must print-out the system generated application on plain paper.
The print-out of application along with enclosures  in support of educational qualification, age proof, caste, work experience(if any) and GSF copy of Challan (if any), shall reach the following address—  “The General Manager, Gun & Shell Factory, Cossipore, Kolkata- 700002” by post.
Application Form Number and name of the post applied for must be written on the envelope.

Candidates must keep one copy of the print-out with them for future correspondence as well as shall note down Application Form number.
