GUJARAT STATE ELIGIBILITY TEST (GSET) FOR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
The followings are the name of the Subjects in which Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET) will be conducted:
Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Hindi, Gujarati, Sanskrit, History, Sociology, Economics, Political Science, English, Education, Psychology, Library and Information Science, Law, Commerce, Management, Computer Science and Application, Earth Sciences, Physical Education, Home Science and Social Work.
Educational Qualification: Must have Master’s Degree (M.Sc/ MA/ ME/ M.Tech/ M.Ed./ M.Lib/ M.Lis/ LL.M/ M.Com/ MBA/ MCA/ MCS/ M.P.Ed/ MSW) in respective subject. For more details please see the Official Advt.
Note: Only those candidates are eligible to appear in the GSET who have completed/ are studying in the final year or semester of a specified Master’s degree in a subject of GSET.
Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for applying in GSET.
The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara will be holding 14th Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET) for determining the eligibility of the candidates for the post of Assistant Professor in Universities and Colleges of Gujarat State. The Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET) will be conducted in 23 subjects at 11 Centres spread across Gujarat state.
Candidates are required to appear for Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET) in the subject of their Post Graduation only.
Reserved Category candidates from the states other than Gujarat will be treated as General Category candidates.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET) Examination which will consist of two papers namely Paper-I and Paper-II of only objective type questions. The Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET) will be held on 29th December, 2019 at the following centres:- Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Patan, Bhavnagar, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Godhra, Junagadh, Valsad and Bhuj. To be considered eligible for Assistant Professor, the candidate must have appeared in both the papers and secured at least 40% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for General (Unreserved) category candidates and at least 35% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for all candidates belonging to the reserved categories viz., SC, ST, SEBC (belonging to Non-Creamy Layer), PWD (PH/ VH) and Transgender.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Examination Fee of Rs. 900/- (Rs. 700/- for SC/ ST/ Transgender candidates and Rs. 100/- for PWD (PH/ VH) candidates). Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking or any other option available. Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO MAHARAJA SAYAJIRAO UNIVERSITY OF BARODA AT THIS STAGE.
