Odisha Police is inviting application for 101 posts of Gurkha Sepoy. The vacancies are in Odisha Special Armed Police 2nd Battalion, Jharsuguda and 5th Odisha Special Armed Police Battalion, Baripada, Odisha. The candidates will be appointed on Contractual basis for a period of Six (06) years. On satisfactory completion of Six (06) years of contractual service, the candidates will be appointed on Regular basis. GURKHA SEPOY

No. of Vacancies: 101 Nos. (For 2nd OSAP Bn.- 73 posts, for 5th OSAP Bn.- 28 posts)

 

Educational Qualification: i) Must have passed Class VII or equivalent examination from any recognized Institution.
ii) Candidates who have passed HSC or equivalent examination will be given preference.

 

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01/01/2019.

 

Consolidated Pay: Rs.9000 per month.

 

Only Gurkha Male candidates settled in India/ Nepal are eligible to apply.

The Gurkha candidate residing in India must have registered his name in any of the Employment Exchanges of the concerned State before the date of publication of advertisement. Gurkhas of Nepal must be in possession of valid Citizenship of Nepal.

 

The vacancies are in Odisha Special Armed Police 2nd Battalion, Jharsuguda and 5th Odisha Special Armed Police Battalion, Baripada, Odisha. The candidates will be appointed on Contractual basis for a period of Six (06) years. Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — Minimum 158 cms; Chest (unexpanded) — 79 cms; Chest (expanded) — 84 cms; Weight — 50 kgs
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Physical Standard Test, Physical Test and Viva-Voce. The recruitment Test will be held at Odisha Special Armed Police (OSAP) 2nd Battalion, Jharsuguda Parade Ground from 08/11/2019 onwards.
