884 Boys as Head Constable (Radio Operator/ Fitter) and Assistant Sub Inspector (Radio Mechanic) in Border Security Force (BSF)

Border Security Force (BSF) is recruiting 884 Boys for the post of “Head Constable (Radio Operator/ Fitter) and Assistant Sub Inspector (Radio Mechanic)

1. Head Constable (Radio Operator): 679 Nos. (Gen-234; OBC-155; SC-132; ST-58, Ex-Serv.-67; Others-33)
Higher Secondary Pass candidates with subjects—Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry may apply. Madhyamik Pass Candidates who have done 2yrs trade course in ITI on Radio & TV/ Electronics may also apply.
Age should be within 18yrs to 23yrs. Pay Scale: Rs.5200-Rs.20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2400

2.  Head Constable (Fitter): 25 Nos. (Gen-9; OBC-7; SC-6; ST-1; Ex-Serv-2)
Higher Secondary Pass candidates with subjects—Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry may apply. Madhyamik pass candidates who have done 2yrs Trade Certificate Course in ITI on Engine Fitter/Diesel Mechanic/Automobile/Motor Mechanic were also eligible to apply.
Age and Pay Scale is same as above.

3. Assistant Sub Inspector (Radio Mechanic): 180 Nos. (Gen-73; OBC-39; SC-27; ST-18, Ex-Serv.-16; Others-7)
Higher Secondary pass candidates with subjects—Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and may have acquired minimum 50% marks in total may apply for the post.
Madhyamik pass candidates with Diploma on Radio & TV, Technology, Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical OR Domestic Appliances were also eligible to apply.
Age should be between 18yrs to 25yrs. Pay Scale: Rs.5200-Rs.20200 and Grade pay: Rs.2800

For all the above given posts, age should be taken as on dated 10-8-2011. Age relaxation for OBC-3yrs and SC/ST-5yrs.

Height and Weight: HEIGHT—170cm for Gen; 165cm for candidates from Assam, Tripura and Sikkim; 162.5 for SC/ST and Adivasis candidates. CHEST: 80cm in normal for Gen; 78cm for candidates from Assam, Tripura and Sikkim; 76cm for SC/ST and Adivasis. Candidates should have capacity to expand chest by 5cm. WEIGHT: Should be corresponding to Age and height.

Selection will be through Written Test, Physical Ability Test, Interview and Medical Examination.

Along with Application, candidates should enclose all the attested copies of required documents as well as Crossed Bank Draft/Postal Order of Rs.50 and Self Addressed (in Capital letters) 2 nos. envelopes with affixed postal stamp of Rs.27 on each.
Crossed bank draft/Postal Order should be in favour of the Centre where a candidate wills to sit for exam as well as Application too should be address accordingly. For complete list of Address according to Centre can be found on above mentioned official site of B.S.F.

On the top of the Application containing envelope, Super scribe “APPLICATION FOR THE POST……..”  HC (RO)/ HC (Fitter) or ASI (RM) according to the post applied for.
