High Court at Calcutta, Appellate Side, is inviting application for Direct Recruitment from Bar to the Cadre of Higher Judicial Officer in the Rank of District Judge in the West Bengal Judicial Service. The selection of the candidates will be through Competitive Examination which will be held in Kolkata in last week of June,2014. Advertisement No.986-RG. DISTRICT JUDGE (ENTRY LEVEL)
Number of Vacancies: 05 Nos. (Likely to vary)
Qualification: Practicing for not less than seven years as an advocate as on 01-01-2014. Candidates shall possess good character and sound health.
Age Limit: Minimum 35 years and maximum 45 years as on 01-01-2014. Upper age relaxation is 03 years for SC/ST candidates.
Pay Scale: Rs.51550—63070 plus other allowances as per norms.
Candidates Selection: A Competitive Examination will be held in Kolkata in last week of June, 2014, for selection of the District Judge. It shall be a two-stage process comprising the total marks – 600. For details, see the below given PDF file.
Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years from the date of joining the duty.
