High Court of Calcutta requires Librarian, Asst. Librarian and Technical Assistant. Last date extended to 02/03/2013

High Court at Calcutta, Appellate Side, is recruiting 6 Nos. Librarian, Assistant Librarian and Technical Assistant. The engagement to the posts are on temporary basis but are likely to be made permanent. Interested candidates may apply on the prescribed Application format within the below scheduled date. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria is given below—

HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA, APPELLATE SIDE REQUIRES LIBRARIAN, ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANT ON TEMPORARY BASIS. LAST DATE: 02/03/2013

1. Librarian: 1 Nos. (General)
Qualification: Graduate or Master Degree in any discipline and Degree or Diploma in Library Science.
Candidates with LL.B Degree and experience of working in a law Library is desirable.
Pay scale: Rs.9000—40500 and Grade pay: Rs.5400 plus other allowances.

2. Assistant Librarian: 2 Nos. (General)
Qualification: Same as above post.
Pay scale: Rs.9000—40500 and Grade pay: Rs.4800/- plus other allowances

3. Technical Assistant in the Judges’ Library: 3 Nos. (Gen—2; ST—1)
Qualification: Graduation in any discipline and diploma in Library Science. Candidates must have Certificate in Computer application and satisfactory fingering speed in computer operation.
Pay scale: Rs.7100—37600/- and Grade pay: Rs.3950 plus other allowances.

Age Limits (For all posts): between 18yrs to 32yrs as on date of application. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST—5yrs.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply on plain paper (neatly typing on A4 size paper) mentioning the following particulars —
(1) Full name of the Candidate (in Capital Letters), (2) Father’s/Husband’s Name, (3) Name of the Post applied for, (4) Date of Birth, (5) Actual Age on the date of Application, (6) Address {Present & Permanent along with PIN Code} with Telephone/Contact Nos., if any. (7) Essential Qualifications (as required for the particular post applied for), (8) Other Qualifications, if any, (9) Knowledge in Computer, (10) Experience, if any, (11) Whether belongs to S.C. / S.T. /O.B.C., (12) Nationality, (13) I.P.O. No., Date & Amount (14) Signature of the candidate with date.
Full signature of the candidate must be given at the bottom of the application.

The application form must be enclosed with Attested copies of testimonials in support of – Qualification, Age proof, Other qualification, Caste Certificate, Computer certificate (as applicable) and any other important documents.
Application Form must be enclosed with  — (i) 2 Nos. passport size photograph (one pasted on the form and other stitched with the application), (ii) One self-addressed envelope with postal stamp of Rs.40/- affixed on it, (iii) Two character certificate from two respectable persons and (iv) Application fee of below prescribed amount.

Application fee: Candidates must purchase an Indian Postal Order (IPO) of Rs.200/- (Rs.50 for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of the Registrar General, High Court at Calcutta and payable at G.P.O., Calcutta.

Selection of the candidates will be through Competitive Test/ Interview which may held in the month of March, 2013.
Admit card will be sent to the eligible candidates by speed post.

Last Date of Application: Application form along with enclosures must reach on or before 22nd February 2013 Last Date extended to 02nd March 2013 at the following address— the Registrar General, High Court, Calcutta.
