High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi, is recruiting – English Stenographer, Hindi Stenographer and Personal Assistant for Civil Courts of Jharkhand , CBI Courts at Dhanbad and Ranchi and Family Courts at Jamtara, Koderma, Latehar and Seraikella-Kharsawan. Eligible candidates may apply on prescribed Application format within 30-03-2013. Qualification norms and brief information is given below—
1. English Stenographer for Civil Courts of Jharkhand
Pay scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.2400/- plus other allowances
2. Hindi Stenographer for Civil Court of Jharkhand
Pay scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.2400/- plus other allowances
3. English Stenographer for CBI Courts at Dhanbad and Ranchi
Pay scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.1900 plus other allowances
4. Family Courts at Jamtara, Koderma, Latehar and Seraikella-Kharsawan
Pay scale: 5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.1900/- plus other allowances
5. Personal Assistant (as English Stenographer) in the High Court of Jharkhand
Pay scale: Rs.9300—34800 and Grade pay: Rs.4600 plus other allowances.
N.B: The exact numbers of vacancies in each post will be intimated in due course.
Qualification Required:—
For English Stenographer: Graduate from recognized University and must have proficiency in English Shorthand and typing. Ability to inscribe 100 words per minute in English Shorthand and 40 words per minute in English typing with permissible mistake of 10%.
For Hindi Stenographer: Graduate from recognized University and must have proficiency in Hind Shorthand and Typing. Ability to inscribe 70 words per minute in Hindi Shorthand and 35 words per minute in Hindi Typing with permissible mistake of 10%
For Personal Assistant (whose work will be as of English Stenography): Graduate from recognized University and must have proficiency in English Shorthand and typing. Ability to inscribe 100 words per minute in English Shorthand and 40 words per minute in English typing with permissible mistake of 10%.
Candidates must have good knowledge of Computer application and typing on computers. Candidates should posses good moral character and should have good health.
Age Limits: Candidates must be above 18yrs and not more than 35yrs as on 31-01-2013. Upper age relaxation is as per norms.
Age relaxation is applicable for candidates of Jharkhand State only. Candidates outside Jharkhand may apply as General candidates.
Selection of the candidates will be through Skill Test and Personality Test/ Interview.
N.B: Candidates will have to bring their own typewriter for typing test.
Date and venue will be intimated in due course through Call letters.

Candidates must enclose attested copies of Educational certificate, Matriculation certificate for proof of age, Caste Certificate, 3 nos passport size photograph (one copy pasted on the application duly attested by Gazetted officer), One Self-addressed unstamped envelope (10X4.5cm), Domicile Certificate, PWD certificate (if PH) and Bank Draft of prescribed Application fee.
Application fee: Rs.400/- (Rs.100 for SC/ST candidates only) in form of Bank Draft drawn in favour of — Registrar General, Jharkhand High Court, Ranchi and payable at – Ranchi. Write name and address on the backside of the Draft.
