STATE ELIGIBILITY TEST (SET)- 2017
Educational Qualification:
i) Masters Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. with at least 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates of H.P).
ii) Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing at the qualifying Masters Degree (final year) examination and are also eligible.
iii) Candidates should appear in the subject of their post-graduation only.

The examination will be conducted for the following subjects: 1. Chemical Sciences, 2. English, 3. Life Sciences, 4. Commerce, 5. Economics, 6. Geography, 7. Hindi 8. History, 9. Mathematical Sciences, 10. Music, 11. Physical Sciences, 12. Physical Education, 13. Sociology, 14. Sanskrit, 15. Political Science, 16. Public Administration, 17. Computer Science and Applications, 18. Tourism Administration and Management, 19. Mass Communication and Journalism, 20. Philosophy, 21. Psychology and 22. Education.
The Examination will be held in the Month of February/ March, 2018 in various centers namely Shimla, Solan, Mandi, Sunder Nagar, Dharamshala, Palampur and Kangra.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.700/- (Rs.350 for OBC candidates of H.P & Rs.175/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates of H.P) as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC). See released advertisement for more details.
Note: The Reserved Categories candidates of other states will be treated as General Category candidates.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
