Hindustan Shipyard Limited, Visakhapatnam – Recruitment of 105 Semi-Skilled Workmen in various trades. Last Dt. 24/04/2014

Hindustan Shipyard Limited, Visakhapatnam, under the Ministry of Defence, is recruiting 105 Semi-Skilled Workmen in the following posts — Welder, Turner, Fitter, Carpenter, Machinist, Plumbers, Electrician and Crane Operator. Advertisement No. PD/WC/01/2014. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format only (See below). Educational qualification norms and details in brief are given below —

1. Welders in SMAW, CO2(MIG-MAG) & TIG welding: 42 Nos.
2. Turners: 5 Nos.
3. Fitters (incl. Structural Fitters): 25 Nos.
4. Carpenters: 2 Nos.
5. Machinist: 3 Nos.
6. Plumbers: 10 Nos.
7. Electricians: 15 Nos.
8. Crane Operators: 3 Nos.

QUALIFICATION:
SSC or equivalent pass and shall possess ITI Certificate in the relevant trades with National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) Examination in concerned trade conducted by NCVT.
For the post of Crane Operators, the candidates must possess Driving Licence for heavy vehicle and practical experience in operating all types of cranes including EOT cranes.

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 4 years experience in the relevant trade in Shipbuilding/ Ship repairs / Naval Dockyards. (Exp. Will be reckoned as on 01 Apr 2014). Proof of experience is to be enclosed.

AGE LIMIT:
Maximum 28yrs as on 01-04-2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

PAY SCALE:
Rs. 6,970 — Rs. 13700 plus other allowances as per norms.

Selection of the candidates will be through Interview. Exact date and venue of Interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course and email for such notification will be sent to the candidates’ email id.
