Kolkata Police Home Guard Organisation, Kolkata as per provisions of the West Bengal Home Guard Rules is recruiting 1000 male/ female as “Home Guard Volunteers”. Class Eight pass candidates residing under Kolkata Police jurisdiction including added area (KMC Ward No 1 to 141) may apply for the enrolment. Eligibility and other details is given below—
Home Guard Volunteers: 1000 Nos. (Males and Females)
Eligibility Criteria: —
Qualification: Minimum Class Eight pass
Candidates should be resident of Kolkata jurisdiction including added area (KMC Ward No 1 to 141)
Physical Standard: —
For Male Home Guard: Height—160 cm; Chest—76cm; Weight—51kgs
For Female Home Guard: Height—152cm; Weight—44kgs.
Age Limits: Candidates must be between 18yrs to 35yrs as on 01/06/2012.
Selection Steps: Eligible candidates will be first called for Physical Measurement. If qualified then will be considered for Physical Efficiency Test. If qualified again then finally will be called for Interview.
Physical Efficiency test will be –
For Male Home Guard: Run of 400 mtrs within 1 minute 40 seconds.
For Female Home Guard: Run of 200 Mtrs within 1 minute.
The qualified candidates will be only called for Interview.
How to Apply: Prepare the Application form as per format (given below) on A4 size executive bond paper and then along with application form enclose the following documents—
- 2 Nos. Self-addressed envelope affixed with postal stamp of Rs.5 on each
- Attested copies of Age proof, Qualification and proof of residence
