HORTICULTURE OFFICER
No. of Vacancies: 61 Nos. (UR-29, EWS-06, SEBC-09, SC-02, ST-15)
Educational Qualification: i) Bachelor degree in Science (Horticulture) or a Post-graduate degree in Agriculture (Horticulture) obtained from any recognized Agriculture/ Horticulture Universities.
ii) Possess basic knowledge of Computer Application.
iii) Possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
Age Limit: Maximum 37 years as on 09/10/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.39900 — Rs.126600
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for Male candidates belonging to EWS/SC/ST/SEBC/Women candidates of UR category of Gujarat, 10 years for Woman candidates belonging to EWS/SC/ST/SEBC category of Gujarat & and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
The vacancies are in the Gujarat Horticulture Service, Class-II under the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Co-Operation Department.
Reserved Category candidates from the states other than Gujarat will be treated as General Category candidates.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Preliminery Test and Interview. The tentative date for Preliminery Test is 22/12/2019. Interview will be held tentatively in the month of May, 2020.
