What is HP TET June 2026?
HP TET stands for Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test, a qualifying examination to evaluate a candidate’s eligibility for appointment as a teacher for classes Pre-Primary to XII in Himachal Pradesh. Every year, HPBOSE conducts this examination in June & November/December. For this year, the June 2026 cycle notification has been released. HP TET June 2026 Exam Date Out

Application Fee

HP TET June 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the HP TET Examination, candidates must be aware of the basic eligibility criteria, which are based on educational qualifications. There is no upper age limit to apply for TET.
Educational Qualification (varies by teaching category):
- For TGT (Arts, Medical, Non-Medical): B.A./B.Sc./B.Com with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. from NCTE recognized institution (relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PHH as per rules).
- For JBT: 10+2 with 50% marks and 2-year JBT/D.El.Ed from an institute affiliated with HPBOSE.
- For TGT (Hindi/Sanskrit): Graduation with Hindi/Sanskrit as an elective subject with at least 50% marks and B.Ed.
- For Language Teachers (Punjabi/Urdu): B.A. with Punjabi/Urdu as an elective subject and B.Ed./D.El.Ed.

HP TET Exam Pattern & Qualifying Marks
The question paper for each subject shall comprise 150 multiple-choice/objective-type questions, each carrying 1 mark, to be attempted within 150 minutes (2 hours 30 minutes) . There is no negative marking.

HP TET Certificate Validity 2026
The Validity Period of the HP TET qualifying certificate for appointment is for life time for all categories. There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take. A person who has qualified TET may also appear again for improving their score.
