The recruitment for the above posts will be in Salary Grade ‘B’ and Salary Grade ‘C’. The required qualification, experience and age limit according to Salary Grade is as followings—
Qualification (For both Salary Grade-B and Grade-C): Graduates in respective core Engineering/ Technology discipline through Full time/ Regular mode. Candidates must obtain minimum 60% marks in aggregate of all semesters (50% marks for SC/ST candidates) in their qualifying degree.
Work Experience: Minimum work experience of 4 years is required if candidates wish to apply in Salary Grade-B and for Salary Grade- C, minimum work experience of 7 years is required.
Industry Experience: Experience in continuous process industry like petroleum refinery, petrochemicals, fertilizer units, or in Consultancy Services Company executing large & medium size projects in petroleum refinery, petrochemicals or fertilizer units.
Age Limit: Candidates willing to appear for Salary Grade-B should be within 30yrs old and 33 years old for Salary Grade-C. Age will be counted as on dated 30th April 2012.
Reservation of Posts: Reservation of posts for SC/ST/OBC and PH is as per govt. norms.
Age relaxation is as follows—OBC-3yrs; SC/ST-5yrs; PH- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others—as per govt. norms
Pay Scale: Pay scale in Salary Grade-B is Rs.29100 – Rs.54500 and in Salary Grade-C is Rs.32900—Rs.58000. Other allowances will be there.
Selection Steps: Candidates will be called for Written Test and Personal Interview. Personal Interview would consist of assessment of Technical Knowledge and Behavioural competencies. Candidates will require to qualified Technical and Behavioural interview individually.
Qualified candidates in Interview will go through pre-employment medical examination.
Job posting: Initial posting will be in HPCL’s Refinery at Mumbai / Vishakhapatnam or in HQO, Mumbai, and the services thereafter will be transferable across country as required by the Corporation. These positions may involve working in shift duties.
