Indian Air Force, Maintenance Command Units is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 53 Group ‘C’ Civilian posts namely Fire Engine Driver and Fireman. INDIAN AIR FORCE, MAINTENANCE COMMAND UNITS IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 53 POSTS OF GROUP ‘C’ CIVILIAN POSTS NAMELY FIRE ENGINE DRIVER AND FIREMAN. LAST DATE — 06/11/2016

 

1. FIRE ENGINE DRIVER

No. of Vacancies: 06 Nos. (UR-06)

Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent qualification.

Candidates must have at least three years experience of driving heavy vehicle and be in possession of valid driving license.

Desirable:
i) Having experience in maintenance and operation of various types of fire appliances.

ii) Experience of having worked in a regular, Civil or Defence Fire Brigade as Fireman Gd-I or Senior Fireman.

iii) Have passed the General Fire Fighting Course of Defence Institute of Fire Research, Ministry of Defence or Sub Officers Course

Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-27 years as on last date of receipt of application form.

Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2000/-

 

2. FIREMAN

No. of Vacancies: 47 Nos. (UR-20, SC-06, ST-01, OBC-16, EXSM-04)

Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent qualification.

Candidates must have undergone training in Fire Fighting and conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguisher, Hose Fittings and Fire appliances and equipments like Fire Engines, Trailer Fire Pumps and Foam Branches.

Desirable:
i) Should be familiar with maintenance and operation of various types of fire appliances.

ii) Experience of having worked in a regular Civil or Defence Fire Brigade.

iii) Have passed the General Fire Fighting Course of Defence Institute of Fire Research, Ministry of Defence or Sub Officers Course.

Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-27 years as on last date of receipt of application form.

Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.1900/-

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.

 

Physical Standards (For all above posts):

(i) Male Candidates: Height — 165 Cms (2.5 Cms for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 81.5 Cms; Chest (expanded) — 85 Cms; Weight — 50Kgs

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test and Skill Test / Practical Test /Physical Test.
