NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF EPIDEMIOLOGY, ICMR, CHENNAI, IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 02 POSTS OF SCIENTICE ‘C’ (SOCIAL SCIENCE) AND SCIENTICE ‘B’ (STATISTICS). LAST DATE — 26/08/2016
1. Scientist ‘C’ (Social Science): 01 Nos. (SC-01)
Educational Qualification: First Class Master’s degree in Social Work / Sociology/ Psychology / Anthropology with 4 years R & D / teaching experience in the relevant subject, after Master’s degree
OR Second class Master’s degree in Social Work / Sociology / Psychology / Anthropology + Ph.D. in the relevant subject with 4 years R & D / teaching experience, after Master’s degree + Ph.D.
Desirable Qualification:
(i) Doctorate in the any of the above mention subjects
(ii) Additional Post doctoral research / teaching experience in the above subjects.
(iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 40 years.
Pay Scale: Rs.15600/- Rs.39100/- with Grade Pay Rs.6600/-
2. Scientist ‘B’ (Statistics): 01 Nos. (OBC-01)
Educational Qualification: First Class Master’s degree in Statistics
OR Second class M.Sc.in Statistics + Ph.D. in Statistics
Desirable qualifications:
(i) Doctorate in Statistics
(ii) Additional Post doctoral research/teaching experience in Statistics i
(iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools/ Data Management.
(iv) Two years R & D in health research / Teaching experience in Statistics after
obtaining essential qualification.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years
Pay Scale: Rs.15600/- Rs.39100/- with Grade Pay Rs.5400/-
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.
Selection of the candidates will be through Interview/ Personal Discussion.
