Applications are invited for the position of Project JRF in a CEFIPRA-sponsored project titled “Charge density wave state in correlated quantum matter: Frustration and lattice coupling.” This project is a collaborative effort between Prof. Amit Ghosal at the Department of Physical Sciences, IISER Kolkata, and Prof. Catherine Pépin, IPhT, CEA – Saclay, France. The research will focus on theoretical and computational investigations to understand specific phenomenologies of correlated quantum materials.

IISER Kolkata Recruitment 2023 Qualifications and Eligibility:
- Masters in Physics with coursework in condensed matter physics and statistical mechanics.
- Strong preference for a master’s thesis in condensed matter physics or statistical mechanics.
- Interest in numerical code development for solving scientific research problems.
- Age limit: Up to 32 years as of December 1, 2023, with possible relaxation for certain reserved categories as per Government of India rules.
IISER Kolkata Recruitment 2023 Fellowship and Duration:
- Fellowship: Rs. 31,000 per month (as per DST norms).
- HRA is provided at the admissible rate if hostel facilities are unavailable on campus (as per DST norms).
- Initial appointment for one year, renewable for a second year based on performance with salary upgradation as per DST norms.
