1. Junior Technical Superintendent: 7 Nos. (Gen—1; SC—2; ST—1 & OBC—3)
Discipline wise vacancies are as follows:—
(i) Civil Engineering: 1 Nos. (SC—1; ST—1)
(ii) Mechanical Engineering: 1 Nos. (SC—1)
(iii)Minerals & Mettalurgical Engineering: 1 Nos. (OBC—1)
(iv) Earth, Ocean and Climate Sciences: 1 Nos. (OBC—1)
(v) Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF): 1 Nos. (OBC—1)
(vi) Computer Science and Engineering: 1 Nos. (Gen—1)
Educational Qualification (for all above disciplines): B.Tech/B.E. (M.Sc for the discipline – Earth, Ocean and Climate Sciences; Central Instrumentation Facility) with 55% marks in relevant trades/discipline and 2 years experience.
OR
3 years Diploma with 55% marks in relevant trades with 4 years experience.
Desirable: Experience in laboratories of reputed Engineering/Technical institute of National Importance like IITs/IISERs/IISc./NITs and similar Central Govt. institutions and knowledge in computer application, electronics instruments, repairing & maintenance of sophisticated instruments.
2. Junior Technician: 11 Nos. (Gen—4; SC—2; ST—4 & OBC—1)
Discipline wise vacancies are as follows—
(i) Civil Engineering: 2 Nos. (SC—1 & ST—1)
(ii) Electrical/Electronics/Electronics & Communication Engineering: 1 Nos. (Gen—1)
(iii) Computer and Information Technology Services Cell: 1 Nos. (Gen—1)
(iv) Mechanical Engineering: 3 Nos. (ST—2 & Gen—1)
(v) Minerals & Mettalurgical Engineering: 2 Nos. (SC—1 & Gen—1)
(vi) Earth, Ocean and Climate Sciences: 1 Nos. (ST—1)
(vii) Laboratory Technology: 1 Nos. (OBC—1)
Educational Qualification (for all above discipline): B.Tech/B.E./Degree (BCA for discipline – Computer and Information Technology Services Cell AND B.A. Hons in English for Language Laboratory) with 55% marks in relevant trades/discipline and 2 years experience.
OR
3 years Diploma with 55% marks in relevant trades/discipline with 3 years experience.
Desirable: (i) Experience and knowledge in computer application, IT and networking, civil engineering software (Auto CAD, STAAD, ANSYS, CFD etc.), electronic instruments, repairing & maintenance, handling of sophisticated instrument etc. (ii) Experience in laboratories of reputed engineering/Technical institute of National Importance like IITs/IISERs/IISc./NITs and similar Central Govt. institutions.
3. Junior Laboratory Assistant: 7 Nos. (Gen—5; SC—1 & ST—1)
Discipline wise vacancies are as follows—
(i) Sciences: 3 Nos. (Gen—1; SC—1; ST—1)
(ii) Earth, Ocean and Climate Sciences: 2 Nos. (Gen—2)
(iii) Minerals & Mettalurgical Engineering: 1 Nos. (Gen—1)
(iv) Central Instrumentation Facility: 1 Nos. (Gen—1)
Educational Qualification (for all above discipline): Degree in Science with 55% marks in relevant subject with Hons. Good Knowledge of computer application.
Desirable: (i) Experience and knowledge in computer application, and handling analytical equipment’s (ii) Experience in laboratories of reputed engineering/ Technical institute of National Importance like IITs/IISERs/IISc./NITs and similar Central Govt. institutions.
AGE LIMITS:
(i) For Jr. Technical Superintendent: Maximum 35 yrs.
(ii) For Jr. Technician: Maximum 32 yrs.
(iii) For Jr. Lab Assistant: Maximum 32 yrs.
PAY SCALE:
(i) For Jr. Technical Superintendent: Rs.9300—34800 and Grade Pay: Rs.4200/-
(ii) For Jr. Technician: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2000/-
(iii) For Jr. Lab Assistant: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2000/-
APPLICATION FEE:
Candidates must pay Rs.500/- in the form of Demand Draft (DD) from any scheduled Commercial Bank in favour of “Registrar, IIT Bhubaneswar” payable at Bhubaneswar.
No Application Fee for SC/ST/PWD and Female candidates.
Mode of Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Trade Test and Personal Interview. Exact Date, Time and Venue for examination will be intimated in due course.
