Income Tax Department Recruitment Post details:

Position: Member of Dispute Resolution Committee (DRC)

Income Tax Department Recruitment Eligibility:

Retired officers of IRS (IT) who have superannuated/retired, taken VRS, or are due to retire within the next three months from the date of advertisement.

The age limit for retired members should not exceed 61 years as of the date of advertisement.

Must have held the post of Commissioner of Income-tax or an equivalent or higher post for five years or more.

IT Department Recruitment Selection Process:

Selection will be done by a centralized Selection Panel.

Criteria for selection include the last five years of APARs before retirement, past experience in special work or judicial work, and personal interaction.

Tenure:

The appointed members will serve a term of three years.

The tenure will expire on completion of three years or upon attaining 65 years, whichever is earlier.

Remuneration:

Retired Members will receive a sitting fee of Rs. 5,000 per day of sitting and a case-wise fee of Rs. 5,000 per case.

Total monthly remuneration is capped at Rs. 1.10 lakh.

Fees for each case will be paid for the month in which cases are decided.

Travel Allowance (TA) and Daily Allowance (DA) will be paid as applicable based on entitlement at the time of retirement.

Selected Members will sign a contract with the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (CCA) and adhere to a non-disclosure and confidentiality undertaking.

Application Deadline:

The last date for submitting filled application forms is 28-10-2023.
