India Government Mint (IGM), A unit of Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Ltd., Alipore – Kolkata is recruiting 38 candidates for the posts of Jr. Data Entry Operator/ OA, Sr. Personal Assistant, Jr. Hindi Translator, Safety Officer, Supervisor (Tech), Assistant Assay Superintendent and Supervisor (Designing & Engraving). 1. Jr. Data Entry Operator/ OA: 18 Nos. (Gen—10; SC—2; ST—1; OBC—5). Minority-1; Others—4.
Qualification: Graduation with atleast 55% marks and computer knowledge with typing speed in English at 40 words per minute. Candidates must be proficient in computer environment
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2000/-
2. Sr. Personal Assistant: 01 Nos. (General)
Qualification: Graduate with first division in any discipline AND minimum 80 words per minute in English Shorthand and 40 words per minute in English Typing in Computer.
Pay Scale: Rs.12300—25400 (IDA)
3. Jr. Hindi Translator: 01 Nos. (General)
Qualification: Master’s degree in Hindi or English with English/ Hindi as a subject at graduation level (i.e. Hindi in case the Candidate is Post Graduate in English and vice-versa). Candidate must have one year experience in translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa
Pay Scale: Rs.12300—25400 (IDA)
4. Safety Officer: 01 Nos. (General)
Qualification: 03 years Diploma, with first division, in any Branch of Engineering/ Technology AND Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate in Industrial Safety course Plus 03 years experience of Supervision/ Management in any factory in Production/ Maintenance/ Safety Dept.
Pay Scale: Rs.14500—32600 (IDA)
5. Supervisor (Tech) —
— Mechanical: 2 Nos. (Gen—1; ST—1)
— Electrical: 1 Nos. (Gen)
— Electronics: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: 03 years Diploma with first division in the relevant branch of engineering.

6. Assistant Assay Superintendent: 03 Nos. (Gen—2; OBC—1)
Qualification: Master’s Degree in Science with first or second division in Inorganic Chemistry
Pay Scale: Rs.12300—25400 (IDA)
7. Supervisor (Designing & Engraving): 10 Nos. (Gen—7; SC—1; OBC—2)
Qualification: 03 years Diploma with first division in Fine Arts/ Visual Arts (Modeling & Sculpture/ Applied Arts/ Commercial Arts).
Pay Scale: Rs.12300—25400 (IDA)

Age Limit: Maximum 28 years for the post of Jr. Data Entry Operator and maximum 30 years for the rest of posts/vacancies. Age will be taken as on 30/11/2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test and Interview. Computer Test/Typing Test/ Shorthand Test will be there as applicable for the post.
Written Test of all the provisionally eligible candidates will be conducted at Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad only.
Exact date and venue will be intimated through Admit Card/ Call letter to the eligible candidates. Call letter/ Admit card will be sent to the candidates through Speed Post as well as will be also available for download from 14 days before the date of the examination, in the official website of IGM.
