India Post, Delhi Circle – Recruitment of 740 Postman and Mail Guard. Last Dt. 03/12/2014

Department of Post, Delhi Circle is inviting application for total 740 vacancies through Direct Recruitment in the posts of Postman and Mail guard. Matriculation pass candidates may apply for the vacancies. Eligible and Interested candidates may apply online through the official website of India Post (See link given below). DEPARTMENT OF POST, DELHI CIRCLE IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 740 POSTMAN AND MAIL GUARD THROUGH DIRECT RECRUITMENT. LAST DATE – 03/12/2014

 

1. POSTMAN
Number of Vacancies: 732 Nos. (Gen—411; SC—64; ST—104; OBC—153). Out of total 72 reserved for Ex-Servicemen.

2. MAIL GUARD
Number of Vacancies: 08 Nos. (Gen—6; SC—1; OBC—1). Out of total 1 reserved for Ex-Servicemen.

 

Educational Qualification: Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized board.

 

Age Limit: Between 18 to 27yrs as on 03.12.2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Domicile of J&K—05yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.

 

Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a grade pay of Rs 2000/- + other admissible allowances as prescribed from time to time.

 

Selection of the candidates will be through Aptitude Test. For syllabus and norms, see the PDF/Link given below.
The admit cards will be uploaded in the Departmental website (www.indiapost.gov.in) latest by 13-12-2014 .

 

Examination and Registration Fee: Candidates should pay Rs.400/- as Examination fee and Rs.100/- as Registration Fee.
SC/ST/PH and Women candidates are exempted from Examination fee but shall pay Registration Fee of Rs.100/-
Fee can be paid through Fee Payment Challan which will be generated automatically upon successful submission of online Application form. The last date for payment of fee through Bank by means of challan is 05.12.2014

 

How to Apply: Eligible and interested candidates must apply online only through the official website of India Post – www.indiapost.gov.in (See live URL given below).
Before starting his/her registration of application on-line, the applicant should be ready with the soft copies of passport size photo (not more than 40 KB in .jpg/.jpeg format) and signature(not more than 40 KB in .ipg/ipeg format) which are required to be uploaded after filling up of the inputs and uploading the application on-line.

One applicant has to submit only one application. After successful registration, a provisional unique registration number (URN) will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. The Applicant will be informed the registration number through SMS on the given mobile number in the application.
The applicants after successful registration of the online application are advised to keep printout of the his/her application , copy of fee challan, receipt issued by the Post office for any future reference. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/ DOCUMENTS TO INDIA POST.
