India Post Driver Recruitment 2024 Eligibility

Scale of Pay: Rs 19900 – Rs 63200 in Level-2 as per Pay Matrix specified in Part A of the schedule of CCS (Revised Pay) Rules 2016, plus admissible allowances (Rs 5200-20200, Pay Band-1, Grade Pay Rs 1900 under Pre-revised scale).

Age Limit: Between 18 to 27 years, with relaxations for OBC (3 years), SC/ST (5 years), Central Government Servant (up to 40 years), and Ex-servicemen (up to 3 years, with additional relaxation for SC/ST and OBC).

Educational Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid driving license for light & heavy motor vehicles.
• Knowledge of Motor mechanisms.
• Experience of driving in light & heavy motor vehicles for at least three years.
• Pass in 10th standard from a recognized Board or Institute.
• Desirable qualification: Three years of service as a Home Guard or Civil Volunteers.

India Post Driver Recruitment 2024 Syllabus

• Syllabus for Theory Test: General Knowledge, Simple arithmetic, General intelligence & reasoning, Motor Mechanism, Traffic Rules, signals, and regulation.
• Syllabus for Practical Test: Identification of defects, Minor repairs, Changing of wheels, Synchro Speed & Gear, Synchro Clutch & Accelerator, Control of Vehicle and Steering, Reversing.

The candidates will be selected based on Qualification, Experience, and Skill Test.

• Stage 1: Theory Test (80 Marks)
• Stage 2: Practical Test (20 Marks)
