Indian Air Force is inviting application from unmarried male candidates for Airmen in Group-X (Technical) and Group-Y (Non-Technical) .Interested and eligible candidates willing to apply for the vacancies may apply on prescribed application format (See PDF below). Educational Qualification norms and brief details are given below:-

 

INDIAN AIR FORCE INVITES APPLICATION FROM UNMARRIED MALE CANDIDATES FOR AIRMEN IN GROUP –X (TECH.) & Y (NON-TECH.). LAST DATE – 22/09/2014.

1. Group X (Technical)
Educational Qualification: 12th Pass with Math, Physics and English (50%). OR 3 yrs Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Techno0logy) with 50% marks in aggregate and candidates must have 50% marks in English.

 

2. Group Y (Non-Technical)
Educational Qualification: 12th Pass in any stream with 50%. OR 2 yrs Vocational Course certificate with 50& and candidates must have 50% in English.

 

Pay Scale: Candidates will be paid Rs.11,400/- per month during training period and on completion of training Rs.24,900/- to Rs.43,940/-PM for Group X and Rs.20,500/-PM to Rs.38,720/-PM for Group Y, plus other allowances, will be paid.

 

Age Limit (for both): Candidates should be born between 01.08.1995 to 30.11.1998.

 

Mode of Selection:-
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Interview and Medical Examination.

Physical Standard:-
For Male Candidates: (I) Height —152.5cms (ii) Weight— as per medical standards (iii) Chest (minimum range of expansion)— 5 cm (iv) Hearing: Normal (v) Eye Vision: For Group X: 6/12 each eye correctable to 6/6 each eye & Group Y: 6/12 each eye correctable to 6/6 each eye.
