Indian Air Force (IAF), under Ministry of Defence, is inviting application for 171 civilian posts, viz. – Stenographer, Clerk Hindi Typist, Store Keeper, LDC, MTD (OG), Safaiwala, Painter, Capenter, Dhobi, Cook, Mess Staff, MTS, SK, Telephone Operator and Fireman. INDIAN AIR FORCE (IAF) INVITES APPLICATION FOR 171 CIVILIAN POSTS – STENO, CLERK, LDC, SAFAIWALA, MESS STAFF, FIREMAN AND ETC. LAST DATE — 24/04/2015

 

1. Steno Grade-II: 3 Nos. (Gen—1; OBC—1 & SC—1)
Educational Qualification: 12th passed AND ability to take dictation for 10mts at 80wpm and transcription of same within 65mts (English) or 75 mts(Hindi) on manual typewriter or 50mts (English) or 65mts (Hindi) on computer.

 

2. Clerk Hindi Typist: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Educational Qualification: 12th passed with typing speed 25wpm on Manual typewriter OR 30wpm on Computer.

 

3. Store Keeper: 2 Nos. (Gen—1 & SC—1)
Educational Qualification: 12th passed with experience in handling stores and keeping Accounts in a store.

 

4. Lower Division Clerk (LDC): 9 Nos. (ST—1; OBC—4 & Gen—4)
Educational Qualification: 12th passed with 30wpm on Manual typewriter or 35wpm on Computer in English
.

5. MTD: 6 Nos. (OBC—2 & Gen—4)
Educational Qualification: 10th passed and shall have valid driving license of light & heavy vehicle with knowledge of driving & motor mechanism. 2 years experience in driving motor Vehicles.

 

6. Safaiwala: 19 Nos. (Gen—13; SC—1; OBC—3; ST—1 & PWD—1)
Educational Qualification: 10th passed.

 

7. Painter: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Educational Qualification: 10 passed with ITI certificate in the trade.

 

8. Carpenter: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Educational Qualification: 10 passed with ITI certificate in the trade.

 

9. Dhobi: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Educational Qualification: 10 passed with 1 year experience as a Dhobi.

 

10. Cook: 13 Nos. (Gen—9; OBC—3 & ST—1)
Educational Qualification: 10th passed with 6 months experience in the trade.

 

11. Mess Staff: 22 Nos. (Gen—14; SC—2; OBC—5 & ST—1)
Educational Qualification: 10th passed with 1 year experience as a Waiter or Washer.

 

12. MTS: 54 Nos. (Gen—29; PWD—2; OBC—14; ST—6 & SC—3)
Educational Qualification: 10th passed with 1 year experience as a Watchman or Lascar or Gestetner Operator or Mali.

 

13. Telephone Operator: 4 Nos. (SC—1; ST—1 & Gen—2)
Educational Qualification: 10th passed with English as compulsory subject and proficiency handling of PBX.
Desirable: Proficiency in Spoken English.

 

14. Fireman: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent passed and must have undergone training in Fire Fighting course. See officially released advertisement for more details.

 

Age Limit:
For LDC; Clerk Hindi Typist; Steno Gde-II and Fireman — 18 to 27 years
For rest of all posts: 18 to 25 years
Age will be counted as on last date of receipt of application. The upper age relaxation for reserved category will be as per govt. norms.

 

Pay Scale for all posts: Rs.5200/- to Rs.20200/- per month and Grade Pay — Rs.2400/- for Steno; Rs.1900/- for Clerk Hindi Typist/Store Keeper/LDC/MTD/Painter/Carpenter/Cook/SK/Telephone Operator and Fireman; Rs.1800/- for Safaiwala/Dhobi/Mess Staff/MTS

 

Mode of Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Skill Test (wherever applicable) and Interview.
