Indian Army invites application from Law Graduates Boys and Girls for grant of Short Service Commission in the Indian Army for Judge Advocate General Dept. through JAG Entry Scheme 13th Course Oct-2014 SSC (NT). Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format. Educational Qualification norms and other criteria in brief is given below —
Short Service Commission in the Indian Army for Judge Advocate General Department.
Number of Vacancies: 10 Nos. (Men—7; Women—3)
Educational Qualification: LLB Degree with minimum 55% marks/equivalent Grade in aggregate (03 years course after graduation Or 05 years course after 10+2 examination).
Degree (three years professional after graduation Or five years after 10+2 examination). The candidates should be eligible for registration with Bar Council of India/State.
Age Limit: Between 21yrs to 27yrs, i.e. born not earlier than 02 Jul 87 and not later than 01 Jul 93
Physical Standards: —
For Men: Height—157.5cms; Weight—Correspondence to age and height as per Medical standards.
For Women: Height—152cms; Weight—Minimum 42 Kgs.
In case of candidates belonging to the North East and hilly areas like Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese and Garhwalis, the height will be relaxed by 5 cms and weight commensurate with reduced height. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2cms.
Visual Standards: 6/6 with better eye and 6/18 with worse eye in Distant Vision.
