1. SOLDIER GENERAL DUTY
Educational Qualification: Class 10th/ Matric Pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject.
Age Limit: Born between 01/10/1998 to 01/04/2002 as on 01/10/2019.
2. SOLDIER TECHNICAL
Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Phyics, Chemistry, Maths & English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject.
Age Limit: Born between 01/10/1996 to 01/04/2002 as on 01/10/2019.
3. SOLDIER TECHNICAL (AVIATION/ AMMUNITION EXAMINER)
Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Phyics, Chemistry, Maths & English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject.
Age Limit: Born between 01/10/1996 to 01/04/2002 as on 01/10/2019.
4. SOLDIER NURSING ASSISTANT/ NURSING ASSISTANT VETERINARY
Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with Minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject.
Age Limit: Born between 01/10/1996 to 01/04/2002 as on 01/10/2019.
5. SOLDIER CLERK/ STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL
Educational Qualification: i) 10+2/ Intermediate Exam pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject.
ii) Securing 50% in English and Maths/ Accounts/ Book Keeping in Class 12th is mandatory.
Age Limit: Born between 01/10/1996 to 01/04/2002 as on 01/10/2019.
6. SOLDIER TRADESMAN (ALL ARMS) 10TH PASS
Educational Qualification: i) Class 10th Simple Pass.
ii) No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum 33% in each subject.
Age Limit: Born between 01/10/1996 to 01/04/2002 as on 01/10/2019.
7. SOLDIER TRADESMAN (ALL ARMS) 8TH PASS
Educational Qualification: i) Class 8th Simple Pass (for Syce, House Keeper & Mess Keeper).
ii) No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum 33% in each subject.
Age Limit: Born between 01/10/1996 to 01/04/2002 as on 01/10/2019.
Army Recruitment Rally for the posts will be held from 5th September, 2019 to 12th September, 2019 at Baikunthpur Army Ground (Sevoke Military Station) Opposite BSF STC Camp, Salugara, Siliguri (WB).
NOTE: Only candidates belonging to districts – Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, Alipurdaur, Malda, Kalimpong, Uttar Dinajpur, Dakshin Dinajpur and Cooch Behar, of West Bengal State are eligible to apply.
Physical Standards:
(i) Height — 169 cm (162 cm for Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical) (162 cm for ST candidates); (ii) Chest (unexpanded) — 77 cm (76 cm for Soldier Tradesman); (iii) Chest (expanded) — 82 cm (81 cm for Soldier Tradesman); Weight — 50 kg (48 kg for Soldier Tradesman)
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For Gorkhas both Nepalese and Indian and Hill Tribals (candidates of Kurseong Sub Division and Kalimpong District) the cut-off in Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test, Medical Test and Written Test through Common Entrance Examination (CEE).
