INDIAN ARMY, ARMY RECRUITING OFFICE (HEADQUARTERS), BANGALORE INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR SOLDIER GENERAL DUTY (ALL ARMS), SOLDIER TECHNICAL, SOLDIER TRADESMEN, SOLDIER CLERK/ STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL/ INVENTORY MANAGEMENTS (ALL ARMS) AND SOLDIER TECHNICAL NURSING ASSISTANT/ NURSING ASSISTANCE VETERINARY. 1. SOLDIER GENERAL DUTY (ALL ARMS)
Educational Qualification: i) SSLC/ Matric with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject.
ii) For boards following grading system, minimum of D grade (33-40 marks) in individual subjects or grade which contains 33% and overall aggregate of C2 grade.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 21 years
2. SOLDIER TECHNICAL
Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate Examination pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 23 years
3. SOLDIER TRADESMAN (10TH PASS)
Educational Qualification: i) Class 10th simple pass.
ii) No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum 33% marks in each subject.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 23 years
4. SOLDIER TRADESMAN (8TH PASS)
Educational Qualification: i) Class 8th simple pass (for Syce, House Keeper and Mess Keeper).
ii) No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum 33% marks in each subject.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 23 years
5. SOLDIER CLERK/ STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL/ INVENTORY MANAGEMENTS (ALL ARMS)
Educational Qualification: i) 10+2/ Intermediate Examination pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce and Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and 50% in each subject.
ii) Securing 50% marks in English and Maths/ Accounts/ Books Keeping in class 12th is mandatory.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 23 years
6. SOLDIER TECHNICAL NURSING ASSISTANT/ NURSING ASSISTANCE VETERINARY
Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate Examination pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50%
marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject.
OR
10+2/ Intermediate pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and English minimum 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 23 years
Note:- Only Male candidates belonging to districts of Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural, Tumkur, Mandya, Mysore, Bellary, Chamarajanagar, Ramanagara, Kodagu, Kolar, Chikaballapura, Hassan and Chitradurga are eligible to apply.
Physical Standards (For all above posts):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 166 cms (165 cms for post at Sl. No. 2 & 6 and 162 cms for post at Sl. No. 5); Chest (unexpanded) — 77 cms; Chest (expanded) — 82 cms; Weight — 50 kgs

Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of Army Recruitment Rally consisting of Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test, Medical Test and Written Test through Common Entrance Examination (CEE).
