INDIAN ARMY, ARMY RECRUITING OFFICE PALAMPUR (HP) INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR SOLDIER GENERAL DUTY AND SOLDIER CLERK/ STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL. LAST DATE — 04/09/2020
1. SOLDIER GENERAL DUTY
Educational Qualification: i) Class 10th/ Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject.
ii) For boards following grading system minimum of D Grade (33-40) in individual subjects or grade which contains 33% and overall aggregate of C2 grade.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 21 years
2. SOLDIER CLERK/ STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL
Educational Qualification: i) 10+2/ Intermediate Exam pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject.
ii) Securing 50% in English and Maths/ Accounts/ Book Keeping in Class 12th is mandatory.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 23 years
Only candidates of districts of Chamba and Kangra are eligible to apply.
Army Recruitment Rally for the posts will be held from 18th September, 2020 to 28th September, 2020 at Police Play Ground, Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh).
Note:- Married candidates below 21 years of age are not eligible for enrollment into the Army.
Physical Standards (For all above posts):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 163 cm (162 cm for Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical); Chest (unexpanded) — 77 cm; Chest (expanded) — 82 cm; Weight — 48 kg
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For Indian Gorkhas and Tribals of authorised Tribal Areas the cut-off in Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement, Medical Test and Written Test Through Common Entrance Examination (CEE).
