INDIAN ARMY, RECRUITING OFFICE (HQ) JALANDHAR CANTT INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR SOLDIER GENERAL DUTY, SOLDIER TECHNICAL, SOLDIER TECHNICAL NURSING ASSISTANT (AMC), SOLDIER CLERK/ STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL/ INVENTORY MANAGEMENT AND SOLDIER TRADESMEN (ALL ARMS). LAST DATE — 28/12/2020
1. SOLDIER GENERAL DUTY
Educational Qualification: Class 10th/ Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate and minimum 33% in each subject. For Boards following grading system minimum of D Grade (33-40) in each subject or grade which contains 33% and overall aggregate of C2 grade.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 21 years
2. SOLDIER TECHNICAL
Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate Exam Pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 23 years
3. SOLDIER TECHNICAL NURSING ASSISTANT (AMC)
Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject.
OR
10+2/ Intermediate pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 23 years
4. SOLDIER CLERK/ STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL/ INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate Exam Pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce and Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths/ Accounts/ Book keeping in Class12th is mandatory.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 23 years
5. SOLDIER TRADESMEN (ALL ARMS) 10TH PASS
Educational Qualification: i) Class 10th Simple Pass.
ii) No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored min 33% in each subject.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 23 years
6. SOLDIER TRADESMEN (ALL ARMS) 8TH PASS
Educational Qualification: i) Class 8th Simple Pass (for Syce, House Keeper and Mess Keeper).
ii) No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum 33% in each subject.
Age Limit: Between 17 ½ – 23 years
Only candidates of districts Kapurthala, Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur and Tarn Taran are eligible to apply.
Physical Standards (For all above posts):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 170 cms (162 cms for Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical/ Inventory Management); Chest (unexpanded) — 77 cms; Chest (expanded) — 82 cms; Weight — Minimum 52 kg (47.2 kg for Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical/ Inventory Management)
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection will be done through Army Recruitment Rally consisting of Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement, Medical Test and Written Test through Common Entrance Examination (CEE). The Army Recruitment Rally will be held from 4th January, 2021 to 31st January, 2021 at APS (Primary Wing) Ground on Major General Rajindar Singh, Sparrow Road, Jalandhar Cantt.
